1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Forest Canopy Triangle Scarf on: November 27, 2007 02:54:46 PM
This shawl was my travel knitting on a recent trip to Seattle:

Pattern:  Forest Canopy Shoulder Shawl by Susan Lawrence
link:  http://knittingasfastasican.com/forest-canopy-shoulder-shawl/

Yarn:  I used Artfibers Ming which is a very soft merino/silk blend.

I really enjoyed this project!  The pattern was really easy (it would be a great first shawl or even first lace project!) but also completely engaging so much so that I wasn't even bothered when our flight was delayed!  Definitely a first for me!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Orange Notre Dame de Grace Pullover from Interweave Knits on: November 06, 2007 04:07:55 PM
Yesterday we got our first snow of the season and I finished a new winter sweater!

Pattern: Notre Dame de Grace by Veronik Avery from the Summer 07 Interweave Knits
Yarn:  Cascade D'Oro (50% wool/50% alpaca)

I love how big and cozy this sweater turned out!  I don't think I will take it off until spring!

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / BPT from Knitty on: October 07, 2007 11:07:35 PM
I'm really really happy with how this sweater came out!  I was inspired by other craftsters who have had a lot of success with this pattern.  Now I don't think I will ever take it off!

Pattern:  BPT by Rebecca Hatcher from the Fall 03 Knitty
here -> http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEfall03/PATTbpt.html
Yarn:  Cascade 220

This was a really fun pattern, lots of interesting cables and nice details like applied i-cord for the hems.  I especially like the cable on the back because I think it sort of looks like a spine:

Modifications:  This pattern didn't really need any modification but I made one anyways cuz that's how I roll:

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Leaf Tee-Shirt on: September 15, 2007 03:00:46 PM
Leaf Tee-Shirt

I knit this top to be my last summer project.  I managed to finish it in time to wear it on the last day of summer!  Everyday since then it has rained.  I don't mind the rain though because it means it's time for more sweater knitting!

Pattern here: http://www.knittingschooldropout.com/leaf_tshirt/
Yarn:  Silky Wool
Modifications:  I knit this with more ease than in the pattern and added waist shaping to compensate.

This hat was really fun to make and I could not be more pleased with the result.
