181  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Interfacing on sweatshirt fabric? on: January 07, 2009 03:18:21 PM
I have finally decided to put my 50 or so youth group t-shirts from high school to use by making a t-shirt quilt. So far I have been using interfacing on the cotten t-shirts, however would it be advisable to put interfacing on sweatshirt and sweatpants squares also? As a poor college kid, I would definitely love to save some money on interfacing, as I feel that sweatshits won't stretch as much as t-shirts, but I also do not want to screw this up. Thanks so much for any help!

183  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Newspaper ceiling? on: June 13, 2007 08:42:18 PM
So, I am currently in the process of completely redoing my room. I am painting it a deep pinkish purple.. and I am having all the accessories be black. Currently, my ceiling is completely covered by a ridiculous amount of posters, but I am getting sick of a bunch of them. So, I was thinking of taking them all down and covering my ceiling with black and white newspaper (to go with the black theme). Now, I wanted other peoples opinions on whether or not this is a really stupid idea. I am really sick of the posters, too lazy to paint it and under the posters theres an abundance of glow stickers and purple paint marks. Any other ideas would be great too. Thanks!
184  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Threadless on: February 06, 2006 03:06:38 PM
I don't know if this is relevant, but I stumbled across http://www.threadless.com/?streetteam=strwberesh0rtcke and for all you budding artists, you can submit your art and people vote on it, and every week they pick six winners, whose art gets printed on t-shirts. In addition you win $1000 if they pick you. It's really cool. Maybe I will someday see some of your guy's art up there  Wink Just wanted to let you know. Thankss
