just gonna throw it out there:$20 at target.com
seems a lot easier....you could even get plain solid colored ones and personalize them.
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: I can't be the only one who hates B Original on: January 08, 2007 06:56:02 PM
My problem is not so much with the stuff they make (though some of it really is silly) as the way they shoot/edit the show.  I have the same problem with "Crafters Coast to Coast."  Is it really necessary for the producers to make crafters look and act like jerks or idiots?  That really bothers me.  I know a lot of crafters, and none of them are jerks or idiots--they're incredibly brilliant, creative people.  Crafting shows should portray them that way.

YES!! I think i HUGE part of the problem is the general public equates craftiness with 'wacky'.
wtf?!?  just because i'd rather make my own wallet instead of shelling out $75 for a Coach wallet doesn't make me "wacky"

and yeah, though i don't want to jump the hatin' bandwagon, butcraft lab is terrible; where do they come up with that stuff??
3  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: Easy Vegetarian Chili on: January 06, 2007 06:06:29 PM

i recently starting using beans that i soak and cook myself in my veg. chili.
oh...my...
if you haven't tried this....you are in for a treat!

WARNING: this may ruin canned beans for you forever...

p.s. i usually make this with red, black and garbanzo beans; it's fantastic if i do say so myself.

jeez...
does anyone not hate the show (granted, like/love would probably be too strong)?
don't get me wrong, 75% of the time, i'm thinking, "what's she doing??" or "why would anyone waste time doing this?", but there were a few shows i thought weren't bad, like the one where she made wrapping paper with yarn and embroidery floss or where she made jewelry from eggshells.
nobody else?

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Scarf out of three old t-shirts on: December 27, 2006 09:37:58 AM
everytime i see this post has been altered, i get my hopes up that the pics have been fixed.
I'm sure i'm not the only one in this boat.
but, alas, it another post of the unability to see the pics.
i think it's safe to say no one can see the pics.

i've pm'd the poster, so ideally the next time you see this post has been altered (minus this post) it'll be because the pics have been fixed.
