Thanks!  It was only at all difficult because this fabric was verrrry thin- low thread count?- and I had trouble stacking and cutting the layers perfectly.  Aside from that, it was fun!

Thank you all so much!  I love this one, just because it makes me smile  Cheesy

Thank you, everyone!

KirstyD, The placemats sound very cool.  I have a friend who made some pillows with it, and it was wonderful.  I thought it could be fun for an ironic apron as well.

8  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / "Whacked Out Wives"- stack n whack quilt with Michael Miller 50s housewives... on: June 13, 2006 10:20:58 AM
I finally finished this stack n whack quilt. Started it when I had 1 kid.  Now I have two, and the youngest is 2.5.  It sat half finished in a box for 2.5 years, and I am currently on a mission to get through ALL my UFOs.  Really.

I know, this probably proves I have a warped mind, but I loved using the housewives fabric for the stack n whack pattern, and seeing how the little women looked cut up and re-pieced...  My favorite star has a ring of little barbie-esque heads.

(I included an in process shot for a close up...)

My bra briefly made it onto TV today when a local news crew went to the LQS with the challenge!  I got like 5 whole seconds of fame...
