1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Beetlejuice Beetlejuice BEETLEJUICE! on: November 05, 2008 09:27:23 AM
Well, I was actually Lydia.

the boy was Beetlejuice.
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / felt monkey love on: December 19, 2007 06:47:36 PM
here it is, my second stuffie, a completely handsewn monkey for my nephew/godson for christmas:

and the cute curly tail (it's poseable!):

but he doesn't have a mouth yet, and i don't know if i want him to have one.  here are some possible options:

they're obviously crappily photoshopped, but you get the picture.  which one do you like best, or should i leave it alone, or do you have any other mouth ideas?
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / pincushion/voodoo doll on: December 16, 2007 01:05:08 PM
my sister told me she wants to learn how to sew, so for christmas i made her a little pincushion/voodoo doll (the sparkly bits are pin heads, so are the heart and smile).  i'm also giving her a couple of diy sewing books.

pretty good for my first stuffie ever, no?  this handsewing business is tons of work though, i'm in awe of all the craftsters that do it all the time!
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / santa, penguin, snowman, and rudolph candy jars on: December 16, 2007 12:27:43 PM
inspired by krafty kirsten's lightbulb ornaments (found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205929.0), i picked up some candy jars at the dollar store and painted them as gifts for the family.
here they are 'topless' and full of m&m's:

and with their hats:

and all wrapped up:
5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / skully santa cards on: November 27, 2006 07:39:11 AM
i made a ton of these for an upcoming alterna-craft show (if you're in MN, you should come!  check out http://www.nocoastcraft.com).  what do you think about pricing?
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 'cause everyone else is doing it...more piratey goodness! on: July 20, 2006 12:35:23 PM

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / distillers tee to halter on: July 19, 2006 05:20:02 PM
hi everyone, i'm a long-time looker, noob poster.  but, seeing as how i'm unemployed and online all the time looking for jobs anyway, i thought i'd take it upon myself to become more active.

so now that my dorky intro's out of the way, here's a shirt i made recently out of a too-big band tee (i know, super original--but i made arm warmers to match, and that's gotta count for something, right?):

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / colored 45's into pretty lamp! on: July 19, 2006 04:12:16 PM
hi everyone, i'm new here.  i saw the melted-bead lampshade and coasters and just thought i'd share the lamp i made for my Boy a couple years ago (same principle).  it's made entirely out of melted records which, by the way, stink like a mof when you're melting!
