All I can say is...  WOW! Shocked
92  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Pinecones on: October 01, 2007 06:13:59 PM
Awesome!  Thanks for the pattern.  My kids love pinecones but I hate the giant messes they make.  The kids usually hide the pinecones and I inadvertently step on them.  I will definitely be making some of these before Christmas.

That is so cute.  I have been wanting to try Bernat Bamboo.  I think, after seeing this, I will definitely have to pick some up.
94  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Shrunken Head purse! on: September 11, 2007 08:30:41 PM
OK, I love this.  I want a shrunken head purse.  My knitting skills are weak though so I am going to have to figure out how to crochet it.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
are these done with crochet thread yarn?
Yes, someone gave me a ton of the stuff.  I am not really a doily person so I had to find something else to make with it.

The eyes look awesome, how did you make them?
Thanks, I just took a needle and some white crochet thread and made a long hexagonal shape.  Then I filled it in. I made 2 lines in the middle with the desired eye color and outlined them in black.

I made these for my son's birthday.
The whole group together

The clown

The ringmaster

The highwire lady

The strong man

The biggest challenge was coming up with a clown that didn't completely freak me out.
99  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Experimental Sweater on: August 31, 2007 09:14:06 AM
This is my version of the Experimental Sweater from Hookorama by Rachael Matthews.  I modified it to fit my almost 4 year old son and I did not include the "burn holes" in the back.  I think having holes in the back would drive my son crazy.

This is for Eamon's birthday.  I will try to get a picture of him wearing it after I give it to him at his party tomorrow.

Those are so adorable.  I would have loved to have those when my twins were newborns.  I liked to dress them in matching clothes sometimes but it was so hard to find any that were made in both pink and blue.  I am sure your friend will love these sweaters and hats.
