This is my version of the Experimental Sweater from Hookorama by Rachael Matthews. I modified it to fit my almost 4 year old son and I did not include the "burn holes" in the back. I think having holes in the back would drive my son crazy.
This is for Eamon's birthday. I will try to get a picture of him wearing it after I give it to him at his party tomorrow.
Those are so adorable. I would have loved to have those when my twins were newborns. I liked to dress them in matching clothes sometimes but it was so hard to find any that were made in both pink and blue. I am sure your friend will love these sweaters and hats.
Thank you so much for the hair tutorial. I have been searching for a better way to do hair on crochet dolls for so long. I am tired of my dolls' heads being weighed down with tons of hair. I am going to try this soon.
That is so cute! I can't believe the kid didn't like it. My youngest are almost four and they love all the stuff I crochet for them. I don't think I could be as graceful as you if my homemade treasures were poorly received, especially if it was something as cool and well-made as your elephant.
