11  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / A webcomic that helps a cat in need! on: December 04, 2005 10:41:14 PM
A friend of mine has started a webcomic that he hopes will bring in some donations. There is this cat around his apartment that is sick and it belongs to a neighbor who wont bring it inside because of this.

He wants to raise enough money to get this cat looked at and treated. I really think this is such a sweet thing to do and I will be sending five dollars to him soon. it is all i can afford but every bit helps!

I hope this is in the right place!  Undecided

Here it is... http://chatman.caishite.info/

13  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Madeye Moody Pumpkin! on: October 22, 2005 12:28:41 PM
I knew this year I would have to make an even better pumpkin and with my current obsession with Harry Potter, I though Madeye Moody would be perfect. i could carve his scars right into his skin. and anyway in the book he is described looking like his face is "carved" to there we go.

I made his hair out of an old shirt, and his eyeball out of a pingpong ball i painted.

Ok, this is my first craft challenge and I am really excited. Here is a bucket my mom brought me from her work. They get thier bulk amount of pickles in it and the pickle smell wont leave it so now all I smell is pickles! haha anyway, I decorated it with trash and it is now used as a trash can!  Grin

I did the body of all just random wrappers and ads and brochures and stuff. and then the 3 top rings are done in yellow, red, and blue.

Please excuse the large amount of pet related items. I work at an animal clinic and they dumped a ton of brochures. lol
16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Broken tablet=Motherboard earings on: October 01, 2005 08:42:29 PM
Well, my tablet broke today. GR so i took it apart to see what was wrong with it. And a wire had broken. so it was dead. I then took apart the pen and found the long strip of motherboard stuff. So i cut it apart and stuck earing thingies to it.

Sorry the pictures suck.

What do you think?

I still have all the motherboard to the tablet itself. so i was thinking of making some more out of that.
17  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Yoshi costume help! on: September 22, 2005 10:13:16 AM
I saw this topic http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=54414.0

and thought YOSHI! and now after going through many halloween costume ideas i have decided on yoshi. here is what i am thinking of doing but i wanted some input from my fellow crafsters because you guys rock.

I was thinking i would take a green hoodie (hopefully i can find one) that fits loosely on me and make the dino things on the hood and maybe some eyes. but im not sure. should i maybe try and make the hood part have the big nose and eyes? and then make a tail out of some foam or just some tightly stuffed fabrid and somehow attack it to my body to work and have my hoodie end lay over it. then i would make the saddle and sew it onto the back of my hoodie in the right place. and i might just wear it with jeans to be comfy i or some green pants and then construst some kind of big boots. or should i just buy some and paint them?

Gimme your ideas! Cheesy

20  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / 3-D Tabletop sealer?? on: September 16, 2005 12:26:10 PM
Ok, ive seen this done before, but i have no idea what it is called or where ic an get it. So i thought you guys probably know.

It like, you take a bunch of 3-D objects and whatever and laythem out on your table and you make an edge around the table so it doesn spill over, and you pour in this sealer kind of stuff and its supposed to be pretty toxic and it seals it all in and hardsens over all your stuff and then you have a flat tabletop.

Can you help me out here?
