okay so I didn't really finish it that weekend did i?  But I have worked on it and all I need to do now are the sleeves and ties.  But I've run into the same sizing problem with the bust.  Its too big!  I figured I could sew in the darts more???  The waist may be to big as well but a belt can fix that, or sewing in the sides.  I don't know, any suggestions would be great! pics of work in progress comin up soon!

okay here is a pic with no sleeves:

8  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need help, in search of polka dot fabric! on: April 26, 2007 07:03:50 PM
I'm going to be making a simple sack dress with white on red polka dots.  I've seen it somewhere and have been wanting it forever.  Maybe using resists for the white polka dots and immersing white cotton in some red dye.  I should probably take this to the fiber thread but I was just wondering if anyone has seen any large polka dot fabric around.  I have a lot of websites that I browse for fabrics and have yet to see the perfect one.

Hello! I'm looking for fabric with overly large polka dots (like 3") maybe in red.  Is this impossible?  Should I just make the fabric instead?

thanks!
