21  Pink Star Necklace in Beads: Completed Projects by tigercub_wabbit on: July 08, 2006 02:27:24 AM
I heard plastic beads are all the rage now, and the bead stor in the mall I work in was closing down and had 50% off on everything... so I emptied my walet and filled my bead box with plasticky goodness......

Here's one of the results, pretty simple, but I love it:

Edited to add: Geez, really bad picture, but it's the best one I managed to take.

I happily ventured into the world of craft felt.
it is FUN.
made some pins, kind of Mexican-day of the dead-themed. I love them.
(craft felt, pin backs, TONS of glue, thread and buttons)

23  I steal boxes from work. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tigercub_wabbit on: July 08, 2006 02:10:39 AM
Hey.
So... here is a box I found at work (I work in a bookstore. this was a box that contained CDs in their own little cardboard cases. so the box is.. surprise surprise- a little bigger than a CD)
the painting of the two people was already there,I just covered the rest of it with paper pieces, drew with a pencil and added the beads, sequins and the silver nail polish Smiley

here's a closeup of the painting that was originally there (with added sequin crown for one and silver foil+beads for the second):

and the eye I drew, with translucent beads as tears:

feedback is appreciated Smiley
