5  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Classified ad's on: October 22, 2006 12:49:45 PM
Apologies if this is wrong forum to post in.

I thought a good lot of you might be interested in the uber cheap classified ad's in http://www.altfashion.co.uk's magazine.

I'm taking on 1.50 ad's that are 5 x 5cm (300 dpi) to go in a grid of ad's they can be image/text based to advertise your shop, site, etsy/lj/ebay shop... & I'll take on ad's from non-uk people too.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Alt fashion magazine on: July 11, 2006 07:58:08 AM
Not 100% crafty but it does cover some independant designers!

My new magazines out now you can find the 1st issue on sale @ http://www.altfashion.co.uk for 3 plus p & p, it is avaliable worldwide as well.

The first issue features new & international designers Sarah bayley & Scream queen, photoshoots, news on companies & events, diy tutorials & more. It's all UK based bar the international designer feature so UK peeps can find items easily & companies that they didn't know about.

The 2nd issue out in september will be more craft friendly with some company features & articles in the pipeline already.
10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: How much stock to take to a fair/event? on: July 11, 2006 07:54:48 AM
thanks for the info the main problem with the events is neither have run before as stall holding events so theres no previous stall holders to ask about stock sold really!

the bonus is 1 is free so I just need to make back the cost of my train fare to the event which is a small bonus! the 2nd I've got no idea about as I'm still sorting it out as a collective stall holding event so it should be cheaper at least.

I've still got no clue how much to take but I'll be taking as much as I can carry for my first stall!
