my newest mandala on hemp rayon!!

I just finished her today---
named after the music i listened to while painting it and the red of a jalapeno pepper it reminded me of. Smiley
I really love this piece a whole lot and i hope i dont have to part with it anytime soon Wink

the pics came out a bit dark- so you cant see the om or pentacle symbol too well- but I did this for a friend who is the officiant in a wedding.
I lined it in satin, and the top is made of hemp rayon.

those are doves at the top- they came out dark too.

i havent noticed a giant difference in my dyes, but its one of those ingredients that just i happened to run out of and havent used since.

i made this completely from scratch- the dress is made from hand dyed rayon.

its had 3 baths- turquoise>light green > orange (which turned it all brown)

the front hem is shorter than the back- im in so much love with this dress- i couldnt bear to part with it.
its rare i keep things for myself- but i couldnt let this one go Smiley

my feet dont mind the snow....

this is what i do when my hands dont sit still.
every line is drawn as it is-nothing is drawn in pencil beforehand... all improv'd!!

untitled--- 11 x 17 on paper. micron pen and uniball flare pen.
it comes out much smaller here - but you can see some full detail when you cut n paste the pic url into a browser window Smiley

just finsihed this last night - Bones, jones and all alone.

I made this for a custom order who wanted certain chinese symbols- with harmony big and bold in the center Smiley all the symbols are appliques

this is before i did more quilting on it- so its a bit preliminary. the photo never came out right. the grey fabric is a min floral print in black and white Smiley

thank you inventor of freezer paper- without you- this quilt would have driven me crazy Smiley

I'm going to attempt this today-
using the hemp cord boning method of putting in the channels all the way around.....

if anyones got experience making corsets in a 5x size- id love to hear it from you- what basic pattern to use-any tips...etc.

this is going to be used as an undergarment for a very simple period empire waist dress in a wedding. (she's a bridesmaid)
