i just got some nice cotton yarn (just in time for winter!) and i thought this might be a good use for it.
but i wanted to know if anyone has any advice or pictures...

i know, it's not such an original idea this season...but...i just finished a great poncho, and i love it! 
i used a pattern that required knitting on circs from the neck down...it was so easy. just starting with a circle and increasing all the way down. (kinda lika a raglan sweater) i love the shape and it is so cozy. i used this yummy peruvian wool yarn called 'ecological wool'. i could have added a hood or fringe, but i kept it simple.
the pics may be a bit dark, but i figured out how to use a remote for my camera!

i finally finished 3 felted fish for my new nephew...

i plan to hang them with fishing wire (ha, ha) over his crib or changing table - they came out a little bigger than i expected.
i got the pattern from knitter's stash - a beautiful book with a lot of great patterns. i modified the colors and designs on the fish.
 

my felting addiction is only growing in strength, and i just finished some slippers for my kids...
i got both patterns from fiber trends.
one pattern is for the clogs (modeled by my 1 1/2 year old boy)
and the other is for ballet slippers (modeled by my 3 year old daughter)
you might wonder how i have time to knit! 



they are really easy patterns and use very little yarn.

Hi,
I have made knitted sweaters/hats/scarves/bags/slippers for everyone I know except for my husband (because he is incredibly picky...and because so many mens' patterns are...um...ugly). 
does anyone have a suggestion for a sweater or vest or something using chunky wool? A free pattern would be good, or a pattern I could pay to download (I live FAR from any yarn stores).
I would really appreciate any suggestions!

By the way, does the 'boyfriend sweater' curse apply to those already wed?

I finished the Sophie Bag that I found at MagKnits:

It was easy and fun. I used hand spun yarn that I found partly at my LYS (the rust color which felted a lot better), and the yellow I got at a yard sale (not such a great purchase, I guess).

I made it for a friend, and now I'm not so sure I want to give it away...but I defintely plan to make more.
I recommend it!

does anyone know where to find a pattern for a cute one-piece soft baby suit? you know, like maybe it has ears on top and looks like a bear or something snuggly? i want to make something for my sister's new baby (due in june) and i don't know the gender...
any suggestions?
