1  Re: The Long Awaited Poppet-Along in Craftalongs by KimD on: June 03, 2009 03:36:59 AM
I like it think it came out great.  I also like the fabric of it.

Thank you for opion's on ears I think I am going todo long ears, I personally like them better.  And you never know my son might just try and win her back for me.

Also I forgot to post the picture of the girl I made my niece as a present for her birthday party which was almost a month after her birthday I had already given her a gift on her birthday so this was an extra

She did tell me her name but I forgot so I will have to ask her again at cheerleading practice.  This is one of two that I have to make a cheerleading outfit for soon.

2  Boogalou Bob(5 pics) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by KimD on: May 14, 2009 06:30:34 AM
Here is Boogalou Bob the Football Player Poppet.  I had made him for myself but my 11yr old son stole him from me.  He also named him.  I have always called my son Boogalou and my kids have this thing with Bob lately so the name came about.  My 9yr old daughter took Bob to cheerleading practice with her last night and he was a hit with the cheerleaders.  He was made from tan flanel, his hair is brown wool felt sewn on in strips and then cut.  His pants are the exact color as my sons football pants, the shirt is a little different.  I am going to have to work on clothes for the poppets due to the size I just can't get them the way I want.  But for him it is fine because I would like to make football pads for him anyways will get to it soon.  Now all he needs is a cheerleader which he will soon have.  Anyways here is Boogalou Bob.
First off sporting my real football players number

With Helmet on

Holding helmet in his lap (this is how he is sitting on my sons shelf)

Back view of shirt.  It isn't actually folded like that I just didn't fix it for the pic.

Finally next to a picture of my real football player which is where I wanted to put Bob but of course anything mom wants gets vetoed in this house.  Oh well at least he is loved.

Since she was supposed to be a flower I could just say she got some extra dirt there.  Since I just got the purple Saturday I know Joannes stilll has it.

Went and got batteries for camera so here is Boogalou Bob, the football player.  My son named him I have always called him Boogalou and I just don't get my kids saying hi I'm Bob it came from something they have watched so that is how he got his name.  I have better pictures but still have to crop them.

Shoot just noticed I cropped the wrong picture in front of him is his helmet.

4  Trying to post these again in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by KimD on: March 30, 2009 05:36:09 AM
These are two of the first things I made with polymer clay neither are very good but my two boys love them

This first one is Otto the Orange I made for my 12yr old for his love of Syracuse basketball

This one was actually the first thing that I did for my 10yr old which is now in it's place of honor on his shelf next to last years football trophy.  You can see the wire with this close up picture but looking at it you really can't see it.  Oh well he loves it anyways
