by the way kp, i loved your painting of you and your boyfriend, it was really very touching, it even made me cry a little. i also loved your collage and the meaning behind it too, i love when art work has real depth to it like yours does

oh, thank you.  craftster probably isn't the perfect place to post that kind of thing, but, as fascinated as i am with kitschy, i'm afraid i'm better at mushy.

i hope you stop feeling guilty soon.  if you hadn't won, i wouldn't have gone and checked out your piece, and i wouldn't be feeling all inspired to make some art as elegant as yours...

it's reconstructed clothing, too.  i think more people will get to see it here...only a couple people have posted on the completed embroidery board today.  unless you want more feedback on the embroidery, specifically...

what a splendid jacket.  i love the embroidery, and the lower back section.  and those button tabs!  yesterday i walked past a girl with the cutest gray jacket that seemed to button that very same way.  i didn't have time to turn around and stalk her to get a better look, but i've had visions of button tabs ever since.

do you make collages often?  i love your piece...it's thoughtful and charming and beautifully made.  you really did justice to those national geographic photos.

those are fantastic!  very professional-looking.  if i were a sewing guy i would be really peeved that there are like 2 patterns for nice men's clothes out there, but that's probably because i'm no good at throwing things together on the fly.

wow, thanks.  i showed it to someone and they said it reminded them of robert rauschenberg's art...i have taken several art history classes recently, so maybe i was unknowingly inspired by the original collage makers.

it does mean a lot to me, and i'm glad i made it (especially because i hadn't really tried collage before).  it's a little hard, though, because i chose and arranged everything in there very carefully so that all the little elements would represent something, but i'm afraid it just kind looks like a bunch of stuff to anyone who isn't me.  oh well...guess that's why it's going on my wall.
