11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knitting Injuries! on: October 23, 2005 07:17:03 PM
And for the past couple days, you know that feeling you get right before part of your body falls asleep?  I have that at the tip of my left ring finger and it hasn't gone away for days.  I don't get why that would happen.

i think it's this:

you should probably see a doctor about it...and i should probably follow my own advice.

mine is related to a crunchy quality in my wrist, and i can make it go away by cracking the bones back into place.  it started with my first real project.  i've been abstaining from knitting/salivating over my manos and trekking xxl and alpaca for months now, hoping it will fix itself while i get my health insurance sorted out...

it's made me quite sad.

14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Winter Femme - cabled hat - free pattern on: October 21, 2005 03:20:34 PM
i love this hat...i've been looking everywhere for a pattern that's basic without being boring and that decreases in a cute way.  thanks so much for sharing!
15  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: no-sew bolero on: October 21, 2005 10:11:21 AM
cut t-shirts fray?  i'm wearing one right now, and i guess there's like half a millimeter of raggedy stuff that could be called fraying along the diagonal cuts...but nothing i've ever thought of as a problem.

i can't see the picture, though, so maybe i'm missing something.  i'm just a little puzzled.

you and your scarves are simply stunning.  i just love anything that's elegant with a touch of whimsy (these included), and you have such an exquisite eye for color.

basically, i'm a fan.  i'm really glad you post on here
