1  Washington / Washington: West / Re: Bellingham/Ferndale, anything for crafters there? on: October 07, 2007 08:04:36 PM
Sorry to tell you, Marilynn's yarn closed.  But there is a newish store called Apple Yarns in the Barkley village.  NW handspuns is awesome, and there is the Wool Station in Fairhaven.  There is also a nice store in Burlington, which is about 30 min south of bellingham.  I think all of the yarn stores have something different to offer.  Apple Yarns is really close to Joann fabrics.
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: New "Dream" Sewing Machine on: November 07, 2005 08:26:13 PM
I think Bernina is a great brand.  I think pretty much the best.  As far as new manufactorers go, I would say white, brother, necci, singer, are all so so.  You have the chance of getting a dud or a good machine.  At 5,000 you are looking at a high end machine.  I would look at Pfaff, Viking and Bernina.  In my opinion Bernina is the best as far as metal parts and the warranty.  You could get an embrodery unit as well.  I would look at Bernina's aurora.

I love him!  Especially his little tail.  He will make a lovely walking partner.
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / Re: The Great Gatsby shirts and my first two-color OC shirt on: October 26, 2005 06:01:21 PM
The Great Gatsby one rules.  As for the card board, I think sliding a clip board in the shirt works well, and then you can use the clip part to hold the shirt in place

Old school cruiser bikes rule.  So does the color green.  Thus, your blanket cover rules.
