2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Paul Frank T-shirt Quilt *Now With Completed Pictures* on: December 17, 2010 08:27:57 PM
Looks awesome!  What did you use for the edging? and also I was wondering if you cut out the blocks as 9x9 exactly and then lost a little when you sewed or did you make them like 10x10 at first?  I cant wait to try something similar!

Did you use any interfacing or have any tips on how you got such even squares?

I cant wait to do this with all my sorority tees after I graduate!

Very cute!  I want to make something like this with my girls at summer camp for a diy fashion class, and I was wondering exactly how you made the beads!  Did you cut triangles from the ads or just straight strips? And did it take a lot of mod podge?  thanks Smiley

9  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Mermaid -tastic Costume on: November 17, 2008 11:40:41 AM
So I've wanted to be a mermaid for ages but i always wanted to wear it to school since i wouldn't be doing much else in it besides trick or treating.  But this was the year...

It is based on a bra and large white polyester skirt from goodwill and then with nets, necklaces, shells, dye, lace "seaweed" and lots of sequins it became my mermaid dream

joker and i front view

another full shot, can you see the sheeshell in my hair? the back is full of them

the back is "tied in a bow with seaweed (aka lace dyed green) and is plastered in sequin scales, i have not back shots so i may add one later, but the side is kind of shown in these next few photos

a random bleeker at the bus stop...

glitter, my shell necklace, and Jesus looming over my shoulder
