3  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / SEWING EXPERTS YOUR HELP IS MUCH NEEDED!!! on: October 07, 2009 01:10:18 PM
Sorry for all the caps but I am desperate! My questions involves "Lining" something so that I can stuff with batting. I really really REALLY want my son to have this costume for Halloween, here is a link to the picture and below is the description the person who made it used: http://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com/coolest-ghost-busters-costume-2.html

"For my baby's 2nd Halloween I choose to make this Ghost Busters costume. I bought a white stretchy shirt and stretchy pants and sewed a lining inside so I could stuff with batting. The sailor part of the costume was made with colored felt."

I am not concerned about the hat and felt chest piece, just a recommendation for material of clothing, I want to get a top and bottom as she states and tips for sewing a lining so I can stuff it, also after i stuff it how to go about sealing it up, just by hand I am sure but any tricks would be helpful I am SO excited to make this but I just need some help please please let me know your thought and ideas and THANK YOU in advance!
