11  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Boring flowers and an eyeball on: August 12, 2006 07:10:28 PM
Feel free to scoff at my boring flowers but they are addicting to make and color-filled fun (all the roving was dyed with kool-aid and all were needle felted--I put pin backs on most).  They aren't anything compared to the beauty of this board.  However, all things are inspirational, right?

I made needle felted eyeballs for a swap and I am finally getting back to making more.

My husband starting making journals.  He has been using paper and fabric I have gotten in all the swaps I have been involved in.  It is soooo cool to see all the swapping I have been in come together in the form of these journals.

According to a search I did I need to use it ASAP.  It doesn't have a very long shelf life.
16  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Red thick girl skirt---need help! on: July 02, 2006 07:27:50 PM
I made my first skirt today!  I was trying to do the uni-many-options-dress thing and I completed it but wasn't happy.  All the options made me indecisive.

So I made this with the material--It is a multi-layered--semi--pleated red skirt:

Do you think it is too red?  I wear a lot of black---do you think I should add some black lace to one of the layers, like the mini-top layer?  Any other suggestions?

18  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Inspired by India Swap? on: April 23, 2006 07:02:22 PM
My husband is currently studying the cultures of India at the university and in addition to living in a place that is known for its huge Sikh community and Sikh festival that attracts over 40,000 Sikhs each year.....and loving all the shops with all the beautiful goods...just wanna know if there is any interest.....(or any reason for me to shop locally  Wink).

19  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Nightime message on: April 23, 2006 10:04:09 AM
My husband and I have these little postings by the bed.  They are to focus us every morning and help my husband study.  For example, if he needs to learn a speech he tapes some things up near the bed so it can be memorized by lounging.

Also, aren't there little things that you just wanna be reminded of when you know you have 6 meetings that day at work?  Focus on the positive, right?

I am seeking suggestions as to make these postings a little less dorm roomish and a little more crafty chic.  Right now the messages are taped to the wall.  However, we have chosen contrasting, ripped paper for the messages.

Here are some current pics:

Any suggestions as to creative ways to post these near the bed would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
