1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Scrap Hats on: June 29, 2007 08:57:58 PM
I guess I can't finish a long project so I keep on making hats with all my scrap yarn.  Hope it inspires someone as I have received a lot of ideas and support from this site!

Thank you for checking my hats out.
2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Marchy-March Felt-a-Long: Check it out! on: February 27, 2007 06:33:22 PM
Here is the March felt-a-long.  It maybe starting it early but I figure it has to be March somewhere tomorrow.

The theme is Nature and we would like to (but not necessary) to incorporate some other craft/art.

Some examples:

Wet felt and then make homemade paper with the wet felt bits.
Knit a hat then wet/needle the accessories.
Wet felt a purse then knit some decorations.
Wet/needle a flower then incorporate knit, crochet, beading.
Beading of anything of wet/needle felt origin.
Woodwork a shelf and create a wet/needle cover.

Anymore examples???  Pictures for inspiration?Huh  I will try to add some as the days tick.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Spencauros on: February 04, 2007 12:23:09 PM
I had this hat I made and it was a little boring.  The husband wanted a spikey hat....so...viola'.  Plus my husband cleaned the house while I did it.  Yay!  All my own pattern.  P.S. I need to block it but he won't let me.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Watercolor cards on: January 26, 2007 03:03:02 PM
Just some things my husband made.

In a swap, a long, long time ago, PinkMafia made the small Frida stickers.  Now they are being put to good use.
7  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Tiny Felted Full Moons (Circles) on: January 16, 2007 08:00:22 PM
My Sonoma aunt had these amazing, amazing antique beads so I incorporated some of them into my wet felting this weekend (and with her!)...for current/future pins, future necklaces.

Please let me know what ya' all think:

8  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Green Potted Love on: January 07, 2007 09:56:15 AM
Holiday in Iowa for the last 2 weeks, really got the felting inspiration going.  I have made several of these back in Iowa and gave them away but here are some I have made since.

They were originally intended to spruce up an indoor or patio potted plant (target: that negative space between the soil and the pretty top) but they look good in a vase or just stuck in some earth.

A couple of long, side shots:

9  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Recycled Scarf on: December 03, 2006 06:44:39 PM
I have experimented on the small scale with different wet felting techniques but this is my first success story.  It is a recycled Banana Republic skirt with merino and silk roving hanging out on the edges.  Additionally, I added some beading.  I have all this "old" (uh, too small clothing for me  Embarrassed that I have held onto since I was 21 and a size 6) that will find a new home in the roving world!!!!! Smiley

10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / I want for Christmas.....(a wishlist) on: September 18, 2006 06:51:07 PM
I was thinking about Christmas shopping and my ideas in my head for all of my Christmas gifts AND how lovely it would be to buy from Etsy/Craftsters....is anyone interested in starting an Etsy Christmas wishlist?  For example, I want a t-shirt for my brother in size XL.  Anyone out there who makes these things, just post and I will check out your shops....and I would like to get some lovely bracelets for my mother (who likes red and purple) and another t-shirt for my father in size XL.....something Grateful Dead for my brother-in-law....

IF this thread isn't appropriate here, just delete!  And I am sorry if this isn't appropriate here!  I hopefully won't be adding to the mod's work...I know they are busy and I appreciate all the work they do!
