11  Re: The Fall Ball/Invite your Partner 3 in The Swap Gallery by snacker on: September 13, 2006 06:42:22 PM
I received from TheBon today!

I have rubbed the yarn against my face, shown it to my neighbor, massaged it, stroked it, danced with it, laughed with it, and hugged it, wanted to drive to see TheBon and hug her.....I just....gosh...open your shop today, TheBon, I will be your first customer.

Looky, looky---all handspun with one that is kool aid dyed!!!:

Her design (so freakin' cute!) and they have little tags with what the yarn is made with---it made my heart melt:

2nd yarn (the kool-aid one):

3rd yarn:

Extra Fall Ball goodies:

Now I am getting in the car, I don't care about work tomorrow, I have to see TheBon and hug her.   Wink

12  Boring flowers and an eyeball in Felting: Completed Projects by snacker on: August 12, 2006 07:10:28 PM
Feel free to scoff at my boring flowers but they are addicting to make and color-filled fun (all the roving was dyed with kool-aid and all were needle felted--I put pin backs on most).  They aren't anything compared to the beauty of this board.  However, all things are inspirational, right?

I made needle felted eyeballs for a swap and I am finally getting back to making more.

Redpopsicles was my summer dance partner...she really went all out!

My 2 requested shirts!

I love this little guy's stance!  I worked with a consultant who hiked his pants up to point to his power point presentation.  He spread his legs so much he was doing the splits!  This guy reminds me of him.

She is a little stalker too---she sent me stickers of day of the dead, the cutest packages for camping that have skin and buggy repellant, plastic star ice cubes, and day of the dead shrinky dinks---whew...

I will always remember my summer dance partner...sigh.

Pad Thai *with lots of squash*

My favorite way to eat garden veggies---butter and a teaspoon of water and hot sauce or cayenne with a tablespoon of brown sugar or honey....

Cheers! and merry gardening!

My husband starting making journals.  He has been using paper and fabric I have gotten in all the swaps I have been involved in.  It is soooo cool to see all the swapping I have been in come together in the form of these journals.

Ok...my favorite...shouts out to sweetie pie press for the beautiful paper (my babes was all, "this paper is so sweet."

qazicat received today.  she says she likes and to post so here we go.  bty:  I was really nervous to craft for qazicat---I always adore everything she creates.

I choose her mermaid theme---I didn't take pictures of the inside, I forgot:

The top (and a poem by Shakespeare that continues inside the tin):

Included were the following:

Pasties for mermaid modesty (2 were included):

Broken heart (all mermaids have a broken heart from a sailor, fish, ocean) and turquoise rock for gazing at all the blueness:

kittykill and I did a personal swap----I know she is going to post pics but I am just too bored not to post pics.

I sent her sugar skulls for her wedding.  These are horrible pics so kittykill, if you are out there, post your favorite if you will.  You take great photos.

I tried to send her at least 9 XL sugar skulls and 14 medium size ones...These are pics of ones I especially was happy with.

Here we go:
