Well George got here safe and sound today.  He seemed a bit weepy, good thing vexy included some tissues for him.  And as for the smarties, the wrappers were empty when I opened it, I guess he had gotten hungry on the trip.  My daughter was worried he was tired so set him up in her bed and has been making sure that he doesn't get too homesick.

We're going to have lots of fun!

72  New House, New Possiblities in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by bhean on: January 23, 2006 12:37:09 PM
DH and I just bought our new house and I am dying to get in there and do some amazing decorating.  The house is full of character, but is done in a boring taupe kinda way.

I'm really looking forward to doing the bedrooms. The cool thing is that everyone's room is just temporary and in a year's time we'll seitching everyone around, so we can fun and be stuck with what we do.  For the girls' room I'm thinking Funked out Arabian Princess with the walls a fab fuschia and with blue, heavily embroidered Indian head scarves for the curtains.  They both want canopies, so I'm going to play with that and fake flowers. OOOH fun!

As for DS, he is insane about dragons, animals, dinos and bugs...so I'm torn between dragon-y coolness and safari bugginess.  He's 8 so he'll help me decide and help to decorate.

Our room is pretty blah, but DH bought me gorgeous $800!!! curtains for Yule, so I think that I'm going to base my design around them.  They are the most expensive thing I own, other than the house itself.

I'll post pictures once we move in and keep things updated.  This is going to be a blast!
