21  Re: OTT 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by bhean on: February 07, 2007 06:05:24 AM
I got my tiny thing from Tristitia and I was floored!  I've admired her ATCs, but now I see that her talent extends in many other directions.  Behold my gorgeous new friend!

I love that she lives in this tiny distressed shoe....can you see the little skully?  And the colours!!!!!!   I don't know why the beautiful mossy greens in her hair didn't show up  Sad This pics shows the true colours better and the gorgeous fabrics she used:

I love how she sewed the leaves in her handspun hair...

And here's a closeup (unfortunatly blurry) pic of the shoe, there's mossy paint and newspaper scraps, leaves and a bird - I can't decide if they grew there because her shoe is hiding in the park or if she decorated herself  Cheesy

I adore her so much!  Thank you thank you Tristitia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received my return card from Rackycoo this morning...I love it!

I just noticed that the gold edge around the outside of the card didn't read on the scanner - it really pulls the whole thing together.

I love what you did with the creepy giant baby head...my husband was really disturbed by it. And I didn't even make the connection between the head and the text in the kiddie book.  Well done.  I hope that you can find some of the stuff useful.

Thank you so much!

I got another amazing midwife card, this time from CharlieBrown:

It says:  Midwife...Time Honored Profession of sticking your hand up a woman's skirt  Cheesy

I love it!  Thank you so much!!!!!

Well Tristitia, you will have to thank Rackycoo for the library card and the inspiration (I tried to do my own layout with the library card still showing - hope that it's not too close to what Racky did for me for the ATC & Ephemera Swap).  Here's Rackycoo's gorgeous card:

And how could I resist that card with the perfect title for your theme?
I'm glad you like it.  And I have no idea what that crazy woman on your card is doing either - I kinda wanted to look at how women's health has been controlled by men who blamed everything on our wombs and how their "therapies" were followed blindly for centuries.

Oh, and it was really funny too Grin

I've been a naughty swapper and didn't get a chance to show off the cool skully stuff that I got from Lamamarco.  I am in LOVE with it all!!!!!

The cosmetic case is exactly what I needed and I am in awe of your lining installing skills.  Amazing and the second Yorkie didn't survive to the photo shoot Wink

Here's a better detail of the skully washcloth (which is great for the baby's baths).  It was hard to photograph, so I hope you can see it:

And a close up of my fave pin EVER!!!!!!

Thank you so much, what an amazing swap partner!

I'm so happy!  I got three cards in the mail today!

The first is "Baby on the way" from Tristitia, I love the vintage baby image and the punched flowers add a beautiful dimension.

The second is "A Midwife's Protection" by Kaos.  The scan didn't capture the gorgeous watercolour she did...it's so watery and celestial.  Amazing!

And the third is "It's a Boy!" from Pinkangel.  It's hard to see, but the dictionary definition on the top is of "child" and the bottom for "midwife".   It even had the Old English origin listed - with woman.  SO cool!

Thank you so much guys...I know that it was a hard theme, but you all rose to the challenge beautifully!  I'm going to have an enviable set.

Oh naughty me...I just went throgh the gallery and see that I didn't post my card and goodies from Rackycoo.  I'm sorry, mummy-brain strikes again.  So here in all it's glory is the beautiful stash that came in my envelope:

And the best part is this GORGEOUS card.  I adore it more than you can believe!!!!!  It has brought a little beauty into my daily grind Cheesy

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I adore those fairy tale cards!

I got my first card today!!!! From pjmclnj - check out this coolness!

The dymo letters say "I am a.. worker" and the dictionary definition looks like it came from some sort of "new age" source, since the word above it says "solstice" and the definition below is "midwinter".  Perfect.

Thanks so much!
