11  Re: Friends of Craftster Raffle Swap R2 (FOCR R2) Signups CLOSED Sendouts 8/18 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by bhean on: August 08, 2008 08:17:53 PM
I finally finished my prize...I hope that it's blue enough Wink

It is a miniature illumination on paper with 23 carat gold leaf as well as some gold gouache.  This picture shows the shininess of the gold, but not the true colour of the blue.

I've included this for scale:

I'm going to send it matted to protect it, since the gold will lift if there is too much pressure applied to it.

13  Re: My Country Doesn't Have That 8 (Ongoing) in The Swap Gallery by bhean on: April 28, 2007 04:28:29 PM
I received a fantastic package from nirauan and boy was I surprised!!!

The kids are adoring the Pingu and Postman Pat DVDs - thank the gods for a region free DVD player - you don't know how many hours of peace you have given me  Wink

And the mags and flyers and funky postcards are perfect for my papercrafts, and how did you know that I collect badges from the places I've been?  Now I have to go to Hull this spring when we go to the Midlands (DH's grands are in Nottingham and Worcester) in order to deserve it!

She totally spoiled me in the candy department - who would have thought that Galaxy's came in raspbery!  I am in heaven...

Thank you so much, it really reminds me of my life there.  (I'm trying to not devour the chocolate all at once, I'm savouring every memory)

I managed to finally get a pic of my latest stash-busting project.  Introducing, Zombie Girl!

I sent her to xladyluckx for a swap and she took this cool photo (because I ALWAYS forget to take picks before I send!)

My kids loved her, so I've got to make 3 more!  And one more for a different swap I'm in.  She was really fast and fun!

16  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 18 - January 1-31 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by bhean on: March 11, 2007 09:11:58 AM
I finally got some pictures of the fantabulous package I received from xladyluckx!  I couldn't get photos that could do it justice, but I kept trying and these are the best I could get (I think I need a new camera).

First, the generous lady made me cool comic card and included some alcohol inks...you shouldn't have Kiss  Such beautiful colours!!!

THEN,  the crazy woman appliqued me my dream hand towel!  I love it, how did you know that my bathroom was the exact shade of burgundy?

And in this beautifully wrapped bag....

was ALL of this gorgeousness!!!!  I was speechless, so much of this is priceless to me!

Did I mention it was all wrapped in the coolest skully tissue and burgundy bubble wrap?  SQUEEEEE!

Now the piece de resistance...I just don't know what to say, I'm in love.  It is so perfect, I can't even begin....

These photos cannot even begin to capture the beautiful patina and age on this shrine...the box is even an old yeast box which is even more perfect since my husband is a Brewmaster.

Thanl you so much xladyluckx you are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MORE fantastic patterned paper (which has already made it's way into some of my pieces) I love the measuring tapes!

Lovely ribbon, bits and bobs, a STACK of coloured handmade paper, tickets, chinese takeout receipt with the order written in chinese, ooh shiny too!

Thank you so much Kaos!  I love it all and it has really inspired me.  This swap was so amazing!
