I love this so much I cannot even....  Just amazing, especially considering the shapeless original and the god-awful-but-warm down coat.  You are my new sewing god.
12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Craft with a Fat Quarter Swap 2 GALLERY on: August 24, 2013 10:46:26 AM
It took me a little while to get pics up, but here we are!

I got a grocery bag holder that I DESPERATELY needed:

I also got a cute little wallet and some adoreable owl fat quarters:

And I also got two little owl figurines, but I took them to my office before I took a photo.  I'm on vacation for a week (woo birthday!), so I'll take pics when I go back to work and post those later.

Thanks EnginerdLisa!!!

I'll be sending Sunday if I can get to the post office kiosk.  Monday if I can't get there on Sunday.  Smiley

Wheee!  Bought fabric for the crafted item(s) and one of the fat quarters to include.  I would have sewn everything today but I had a fall at the fabric store.  Long story short, slipped on some water and now I'm basically bruised and busted up.  Since I can't do much other than sit around, I guess I'll be sewing tomorrow instead.  Smiley

Ive got the two main things I want to make out of the fq just need to decide on the actual fq  Cheesy Ive got an idea for the scraps too.

^ same boat, lol.  There's a quilting store here that hosts an open sewing day where you can bring in your machine; the next one is tomorrow.  It's perfect timing for this swap, so my plan is to pick out my fabric and then sew my behind off!

how do your tubes get so jacked? mine are almost always round.

They just come that way.  They're always bent up or crushed.  Maybe it's the brand I buy, I dunno.  At least I can use the jacked up ones for seed starting pots.

I want to know how you get such rounded tubes.  My TP tubes are always so jacked up.

FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS!  I need an organizer for my jewelry and everything I found was either ugly or expensive (or both).  This is neither ugly nor expensive!  In fact, it's adorable and cheap.  Win and Win!  Thanks for the tute.  I'd never have thought of gluing multiple pieces of cardboard together.

Ooh what could it be? Trim? Ribbon? Bamboo batting?

There is a thing called bamboo batting?
^^ same question!

Also, I think I've finalized on what I am going to make.  It took me a little while to decide, because every time I'd find something I thought my partner would like, it would require more than 2 FQs.  But now I have the item(s) decided upon, it's time for the fun part: FABRIC SHOPPING!!!!
