As long as this isn't a large point swap, I'm so in!
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: handmade knitting/crochet stitch marker on: February 25, 2013 07:30:23 PM
I'd be in, at least for knitting markers.  I'm not very good at crochet markers.

Hooo-leeeee shizzz!  My partner spoiled me so so so much, I can't even say how much I love my package.

Here's the big picture:

The stocking she sent is an adoreable little paw print stocking!  I love it, so cute.  Also, she sent me a TON of goodies!

Included were an owl box full of hershey kisses, owl shaped nail files (seirously didn't know these even existed), a really luxurious bottle of home made hand scrub that smells delicious, a ball of merino wool spun by a local which she HAND DYED for me, a knitting ornament, some hot chocolate, gorgeous earrings, bracelets, and a pendant, some little christmas figurines, two owl ornaments, gorgeous gray nail polish, owl shaped headphones holder, a small jeweled box full of buttons, some stickers, and my absolute favorite thing ever: a purple stuffed octopus!

Seriously love this little guy!

Thank you wdicwg!  You are awesome!

I received.  Holy shizz.  Even though I'm happy with what I sent my partner, I'm having major swap anxiety because her box to me was amazing.  Can't wait to post it all in the gallery!

Nah.  I will be getting settled in a new city, in a new house, with a new job.  I wouldn't have the creative energy to put into this swap and I don't want my partner to get a sub-par swap package.  Next time.  Smiley

I sent, and it was an adventure!  I got a new job offer yesterday that carries a huge pay bump but is also 3 hours away from where I live.  So, I grabbed my partner's package and jumped in the car this morning to go house hunting... I figured I could drop it off at a local post office.  Well, I couldn't find a post office so I ended up chasing down a mail truck!  The mail man was really nice and took the package (postage had already been paid), but he did give me an odd look.  Oh well.  My partner's goodies are on their way!!!

I've been telling anyone who will listen that USPS's click-n-ship is one of the greatest things I've discovered about living in the internet age. (The other one I tell them about a lot is online library catalogs, but most of them don't use one every hour of the day like I do, so they just give me weird looks...)

Oh yeah, I absolutely love buying the postage online.  I've never had the post office actually pick up a package from my home.  But now that I'm moving to Phoenix, it might be easier.  Smiley

Bah!   I'll have to wait for the next round sadly.  Not so sadly, I have to wait because I got a new job with a BIG pay bonus and I'm moving to a new city 3 hours away about 3 days before Christmas.  Busy busy busy!  Can't wait to see y'alls gallery though.

Gah, I'm such a failure at posting at least once a week.   Sad

Anyway, I have one more thing to make and a couple of little things to buy and I'll be done.  Something I made turned out so cute I'm going to have to totally make some for myself when this swap is over!

Finally finished the stocking after much trial and error (I am not using a pattern).  I hope my partner likes it!  I have all the materials for the items I'm stuffing the stocking with, and with a big snow storm on the way it looks like this weekend will be one of pajamas and crafting.
