11  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Getting tags printed on: November 05, 2004 03:32:33 PM
Hmmm, that is REALLY small. I think its pretty important to have your website on it, definately more then just a logo. Can you get the tags in a bigger size?

Yes! Website for sure. And any contact info, and you could also put a line for a general decription of your products.

bidding vs. "buy it now"

What are you opinions on this? Say I wanted to sell a handmade one of a kind handbag over ebay, but wanted at least 20-25 bucks for it (which is pretty low, considering I sell them for $35+).

Would people buy it if I had only listed it as "buy it now" at say, 30 dollars? Or would it be better to have people bid on it? I'm not sure what would work best... I want to make a profit, so it has to be over 20 dollars . . .

I think it is definately worth it. People will be more likely to spend money on your website if it looks more professional, and trustworthy. You can get a cheap host for now, and if you business grows and you need a bigger package, just upgrade!

Hello,

I have contacted Brandi about this, so I hope that either she will mail out the earrings as planned, or mail back all the earrings you all made to you.

Brandi, if you see this before you check your PM's, please find and reply to my PM right away!

I think from now on, those that take the responsibility of a swap, must be available to commit to the schedule THEY planned! I don't think its very acceptable to be "away" all the time, when you are organizing this!  Undecided

When I make purse straps I usually use the following method:

- Cut a strip of fabric 3 inches wide by how ever long it needs to be.
- Iron a small hem along each side of the fabric
- Press strap in half, matching the folded sides together.
- Sew along each edge

Basically, its bias tape I guess! I have never used one of these little bias tape makers, but to anyone that has: My straps are always 1 inch wide, can I use one of the bias tape makers to make my strap? I think it might make it looks near perfect, and very quick to do!
