The peppermint dress is great, it would look so cute with a wide red velvet belt!
Love the cupcake print, I made this icon after it was posted on egl. Wink

That first shirt would be great to wear to the movie premiere when it comes out! I think the trident looks good

They remind me of nightcrawler from the x-men, so really they cover a plethora of fandoms!

copesetic: You know Brianne? small world indeed! Cheesy Thanks

Thanks everybody for the compliments! I'll be taking a burlesque class in the fall, so hopefully that will be an opportunity for me to make more nerdy pasties.

I'm glad these made people laugh! Smiley
Thanks for the comment, I'm pretty proud of the beading

Wow, I'm kind of shocked these got onto Entertainment Weekly! Yay! Thanks for the link. Batman is the only other fandom I know to have graced nipples.

Thanks for everyone's comments and encouragement! I had so much fun showing these off to wild cheers at the midnight showing. Cheesy

Thanks for all the nice comments! Cheesy
I took your advice and bought a white shirt with snaps and altered it to fit me. I still need a new skirt, the thrift stores disappointed me by not having any grey pleated skirts. I'll get that tomorrow morning and hopefully have time to add the great gryffindor colours trim I have.
The swirly sequins did take a long time, but I used the sequins that come as a string. It was a lot quicker and easier than sewing on every individual sequin. I just tacked it down every five sequins or so and filled in any gaps with loose sequins.
I hope that I can get good photos at the event, but it will be pretty dark, so I'll also take some photos beforehand of my outfit with and without shirt open. Wink

I made these Golden Snitch nipple pasties for myself to wear to the midnight opening of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince next week. Cheesy
These are my first pasties, they took me two days to make. The wings were bought appliques, but I beaded everything else by hand. There are small gold beads in swirls between the rows of sequins to make the spiral patterns of the snitch.

I usually wear a standard gryffindor outfit; a tie over a white shirt, grey skirt with gryffindor colours trim, and a gryffindor scarf. My plan is to wear the pasties under my white shirt and unbutton onstage at the costume contest for a big reveal. Wink

Update:

I won second place in the costume contest! I now own a light up-noise-making wand and gt a free pass to the theatre (which I used to see HBP again yesterday). The owl beside me won first. Somebody started yelling "Hooters vs Tits!" when we got to the final three! XD
I don't think most of the crowd really got that they were golden snitches, I didn't get the chance to say it into the mike like I wanted to and it was probably a bit hard to see.

It was hard for my girlfriend to get a decent picture of me with the shirt open since I was doing a little dance and closing my shirt again quickly, so here is the best one.

Some sort of embroidery on the paisley or the pockets (stars or something?) would make it super western! Just look up some pics of classic cowgirl shirts on google for ideas.
