1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / blanket help on: December 16, 2008 01:30:53 PM
for my family for christmas I am making blankets for each of them. I want to do something to personalize each of them for the people but I cant really think of much to do to them besides embroider something onto them. Any other ideas?

* they are being made out of felt like material for my mom, my dad, and my two sisters.
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: just a pic and an opinion on: November 19, 2007 08:30:32 PM
I like the second option better. I think it captures the mood better than the first one. The first one looks as if the people were just placed in the picture, not really a part of the scenery. The second one seems more unified to me.

thank you for the advice!
I am actually in college and am majoring in art so I decided a photography class would be a good way to go! I love it so much, and it is a dying art, but hopefully soon people will realize how beautiful it is and it will pick back up. I am DEFINITELY having a dark room in my house!

I have always been very interested in photography so I decided to take photography 101 this semester and I absolutely love it! I never knew that photography could be THIS FUN! I think my favorite thing is developing prints because it is such an amazing process!

Without further ado- here is my first set of prints (from first to last to show progression- because honestly, my first prints werent good at all really)

i used to use folk art as well until I realized how BIG of a difference there is in it and the other stuff. Folk Art I found out is better for stenciling and home decorating stuff, not painting on canvas. Definitely get a brand that is geared more towards canvas or paper.
8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: hhhh a drawing with conte on: August 09, 2006 06:10:58 PM
first off I must say that I love it, i love the expressions and everything. the only thing I can really say that I see is off is the proportion of the hand to the face, the palm would take up most of her cheek and just be larger because a hand is as large as a face. That, and the size of the ear. But again, I must say that this piece is fantastic and looks amazing for a work done with conte. Conte is one medium I find really hard to work with, mainly because its so messy.
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Can someone help me make this bag? on: May 11, 2006 01:29:00 PM

10  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Am I weird? on: May 03, 2006 10:30:56 AM
i think you're just intense. I get that way sometimes, especially when things arent going right. I get this way with sewing as well as when I am painting/drawing/whatever... if things are going right, the project can be very therapudic, but if it starts to go wrong in any way I get overheated and angry very easily.
