1  Oversized t-shirt into gaucho pants - first reconstruction!(5 pics) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by theresat on: June 03, 2006 10:47:43 AM
I hated gauchos up until I made these pants.  Smiley

I used this tutorial: http://community.livejournal.com/t_shirt_surgery/3597625.html

Started with this men's Large size shirt:

And ended up with these gauchos:

2  Fresh off the wheel (lots of pics) in Spinning: Completed Projects by theresat on: May 25, 2006 03:54:52 PM
Here are some of my latest yarns.

The first two are superwash from the mill end place. The next three are yarns that I dyed (3 is real dye, 4 and 5 are kool-aid), number three is my absolute favorite.  It was a total accident, I was trying for orange and it was two yellow, so I just tossed some red in the dye pot, and ended up with a really cool yarn.

Congrats Rachel-Marie!  That's awesome!

Here's my most recent skein(more photos will be coming once I get my butt in gear and upload them).  It's red superwash and a pink fuzzy fiber that I can't recall the name of.

5  Delayed spinning Sunday in Spinning: Completed Projects by theresat on: March 20, 2006 07:52:51 AM
So I spent the better part of yesterday spinning up some of the fleece I got from The Sheep Shed Studio.  Now I'm goofing off at work, and taking the time to post some pictures.  Smiley

Sunburned Zebra (what's black and white and red all over?):

Fourth of July:

Cloudy day:

Happy Holidays (plied with gold metallic embroidery thread):

If you want to see pictures of the two pounds of fleece I got from The Sheep Shed Studio, head on over to my lj (http://theresat.livejournal.com/186605.html#cutid1).

7  We call them Pirates! in Knitting: Completed Projects by theresat on: January 02, 2006 08:29:34 AM
We call them Pirates from helloyarn.com:

My roommate Mike wearing it (you can still see the provisional cast on in the tan yarn, I haven't finished the lining yet, gotta get smaller needles first):

Close up of one of the Jolly Rogers:

It didn't take me as long as I expected, two solid weekend mornings and it's done (except the lining).

9  Late spinning Saturday in Spinning: Completed Projects by theresat on: December 20, 2005 04:27:35 AM
Hey all!  I spun this baby up on Saturday, but didn't have my digital camera around (I still don't, it turns out my new cameraphone takes pretty darn good pictures).  I've decided to name her November.

10  First "novelty" yarn in Spinning: Completed Projects by theresat on: December 14, 2005 06:57:56 PM
Hey all...I've been inspired by all of your amazing "novelty" yarns, so I decided to try my hand at one of my own.  This is plain old white roving spun with strips of translucent blue plastic.  It needs a name, I think it's winter something, but I'm open to suggestions.  Wink
