2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Should I buy OR make a tree skirt? on: November 11, 2006 09:37:26 PM
i was looking at some tree skirts and they are ridicuously expensive, 40 dollars? ya, i don't have that dough. my tree is silver and blue, if i buy fabric, do you think its worth it, or in the end will it come out the same??

as well, i wanted to iron on some snowflakes on blue fabric, but is there a method or fabric that i can iron on to fabric where the snowflakes are fuzzy, like you can feel them. lol, i don't even know if understood what i wrote, hopefully someone does.
(it may be called applique? not sure, i don't have much experience in that area)

any suggestions?
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / nvm - found my answer on: October 17, 2006 04:16:19 PM
hi, i have a problem. everytime i stencil, the paint seeps through the first layer of fabric. my concern is, that if i paint a onesie, the paint seeping thru will touch the baby's skin. any suggestions to prevent this will be appreciated, thanks.
