1  Hawaiian-ish Appliqued Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by BuffaloRohm on: December 07, 2008 03:12:41 PM
My future brother-in-law came out to visit my fiance and I in Hawaii for Thanksgiving. He really liked a bag he saw in one of the tourist stores, but of course it was super expensive, so I made one for him to give to his girlfriend instead!

He picked out the fabric and the design for the appliques. It was about 16"x16" and was lined in blue Hawaiian fabric. Sorry I don't have more pictures, he already took it back to California!

2  Re: The FABulous Gallery - Fill A Box Swap in The Swap Gallery by BuffaloRohm on: December 07, 2008 03:03:55 PM
Here are all of the goodies I got from eukarya! I didn't get a group shot because I put a lot of them up right away... I definitely got spoiled!
Here are the beautiful egg ornaments she painted for me... already up on my tree!

Two stockings that are WAY better than the ones on my Wist - I love them!

Four amazingly cute zipper pouches - the satin linings match the zippers!

A sewing machine catch-all (plus pincushion!) straight from my wist:

And finally, some awesome supplies: extra fabric, two beautiful trims, two skeins of yarn, mint hot chocolate (which is my favorite flavor, I don't know how she knew!), gift tags from Ikea (which we don't have in the Islands - I miss Ikea so much!), and four gift boxes that held the ornaments - they are so cute!

Thank you so much eukarya!

3  Re: Fill-A-Box Round 8 - THE EPIC GALLERY! (USA Flat-Rate Box, Sendouts by 8/23) in The Swap Gallery by BuffaloRohm on: September 08, 2008 08:55:31 PM
Finally getting around to posting the AWESOME box I received from lindyv321! Sorry that I'm so late in posting! I got so much great stuff for scrapbooking (which I need to get into - I have so many photos that have no real home besides a big box), some yarn, stamps, amazing beads, cute fabric, and even some Shrinky-Dinks!!! Here's the loot:

The paper cutter (right term?) has been used a lot already... mostly on scrap paper to show my fiance how awesome it is!

I sent to opheliapoe, but I think she's been too busy to post pictures. I was a dunce and forgot to take them before sending out!  Smiley

4  Burpies in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by BuffaloRohm on: July 24, 2008 02:16:30 PM
I'm not sure if these should go here, but it is kid-related sewing!
I've been making these like a madwoman lately; everyone I know is having babies. I've gotten some good reviews. What do you think?

5  Help desperately needed - will these sell? in Get Product and Website Opinions by BuffaloRohm on: July 24, 2008 01:48:30 PM
Hi everyone, I'm thinking of jumping onto the etsy bandwagon (really late, I know), and these burp cloths would be the first things I would offer. They're made from soft, prewashed flannel, and I have more "traditional" baby and shabby chic ones on the way. They are saddle-shaped so they won't slip off your shoulders, and all edges are professionally finished! Anyway, here are the pictures:

I'm thinking of selling them in a 3-pack for $12. Is this pricing fair? I'm also wondering if I should package them differently, like with a bib or a blankie instead. Do you think these have a chance? Thanks in advance for all your help!

6  Blue Dress for my sister in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by BuffaloRohm on: September 10, 2007 06:02:44 PM
*Crossing my fingers this works... first picture post*

I made the dress on the left for my little sister - we went to the Teen Choice Awards, and she was mortified that she had nothing to wear... I only had a few hours to make it!

ETA: The elephant sequin fabric at the top came from Little India in Artesia, California. I love it so much! I luckily have enough left to make something similar-ish to this. Or I could just steal this one back. I don't have any great pictures, but you can sorta see the patch I used on the bottom corner. I went to iron the material to hem it, but the iron burned a little hole in it  Embarrassed ... I was so upset, but the patch actually made the whole thing more interesting and more boutique-y (if that's even a word). I'll try to get better pictures, if she'll let me have it for two seconds.
