I'm pretty sure this would be an excellent gift for my brother. He'd love it. Excellent work! It looks very professional.

I had seen some pictures of strands of cork necklaces, but cork was more expensive than I thought it would be at Michaels! I also thought it would be more comfortable to wear while I was working Smiley

Got my corks at a hardware store for a few dollars. Cheesy

Fantastic Luna accessories! I like your interpretation of her necklace I just made a strand of corks for  mine. And that bolero excellent! It's really very Luna-esque. I may take your idea and make one for my own Luna costume ...

Excellent buttons, by the by.

YKYACW ... you finish book 7 and, feeling a void, get crafty in a reminiscent way. (Photos on my blog in the entry I open at the close.)

Though, I must say, I did use a wooden knitting needle for my wand at the Harry Potter release party, so I may be about on my brothers level.

You too, eh? Cheesy

Samsara, that wand rocks. Very clever, using some Golden Nargle Resin!

My wand isn't as cool; it's just a size 15 rosewood knitting needle. Cheesy

Miss V, that's as shiny as they come! Nice work!

Crazydoglady, I don't even watch Grey's Anatomy, and here I thought she was a nut ... (Well, I suppose she could still be one. I haven't seen her since then, and I don't know her at all.) I've only seen the show one time, and that was because I was visiting a friend who's obsessed.

Grey's Anatomy reference! In one episode, the main character took up knitting because she was celibate, and it gave her something else to do and concentrate on. So not quite as random as it might seem  Wink

Oh, ScotSkipper, it's funny because it's true. I don't even have cable right now I just watch my dvds and such over and over. (I think I have Firefly completely memorized by now.)

"Are you not knitting because you watch too much TV?"

Celibacy? Do muggles know anything about the hand and finger strength one develops as a knitter? Plus patience, endurance and attention to detail? AND a true understanding of the pleasures of different gauges?

Honey, we do it with cables!

I was knitting before a Joan Jett concert on the 7th. One of the people with our group, whom I hadn't met before, asked me, "Are you knitting because you're celibate?"

I just gave her a really weird look and kept working on my sock. Actually, I think I laughed at her, too. Silly muggles.
