A quick and easy knit!







Pattern if from IK Fall '07.  Original pattern is a men's sweater.  A swatch and a little math and voila - a woman's sweater.  Knit in Classic Elite Skye Tweed on US 7 needles.  I'm really happy with the color and fit.  And finished just in time for the fall weather!

Pattern: Calla from Magknits
Yarn: Butterfly Cotton, colorway Terracotta

I modified this to knit in the round until the split for the armholes.  It was a simple, quick knit and I'm fairly pleased with the finished product.  I wore it out last night and got a few complements.  Nothing like a few cables to impress the non-knitters!

This took me forever to complete!  I'm happy it actually fits.  Too bad it's hot, hot, hot outside.

     Yarn--Lamb's Pride Worsted in Deep Charcoal, Light Grey, and Brick

I finished the knitting months ago but took forever to get down to the seaming.  Just a tip for anyone who's thinking about starting their first seamed item...don't pick dark gray mohair yarn.  Pain. In. The. Ass. To. Seam.  

How can yarn that looked so, so pretty as a skein look so, so ugly as socks?



I finished these out of sheer stubborness.  Knit out of Lorna's Laces, colorway Seaside (or Mistake by the Lake, as I took to calling it.)

I did work on these socks while we were visiting the Grand Canyon, so at least they managed to see some beauty even if they're not beautiful themselves.

I finally finished Danica from Knitty.  Knit using Cascade 220 on size 7 needles.

I whipped up this beaded wrist cuff in a jiffy using nylon cord on size 10 needles.  The stitch definition is lost a bit in the black, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
