Oh wow!  I love your sweater, especially since it's the first Afro intarsia I've ever seen!!  Loving it.  It's really hot!  Do you plan to try write it up?
2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: Tilted Duster from IK Fall 07 on: August 18, 2007 11:20:42 PM
So many pretty patterns I'd like to work on, but I cannot seem to get this one out of my head.  I cast on last night with  KP's WOTA in Lake Ice Heather.  Loving it!  So far I have completed the back and will start the front sections tomorrow!!!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Twinkle's Big City Knits: 30 Chunky-Chic Designs on: February 18, 2007 11:16:51 AM
I too purchased this book, but I didn't pay full price as I pre-ordered it through Amazon.  I think Twinkle's work is beautiful, but being a busty gal and all, I don't think I'd be making many of these for myself.  I think Z hit the nail on the head about being comfortable resizing patterns to make some of these work for you.  I don't feel like it is a complete bust (pardon the pun!) because I have a little sister who has already made requests, so at least someone will benefit.  I have noticed that when her patterns are published in VK and IK there are extended sizes and the suggested yarn subs are the same ones she suggests in the back of the book.

Thanks Moazogotl!  These sound like good options.  I'll try to get my hands on some KSH or Seta this weekend.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Yarn help?!? on: July 07, 2006 09:41:38 AM
Hi, I am trying to create a sweater that has been in my head for a while and I imagine it to be sort of sheer.  I don't particularly LOVE mohair, but I wanted to know, are there any yarns out there that will give me the sheer effect that mohair does?

You sure have been one busy girl!  They're all really great.  I especially love the tank top.  If you come up with a pattern, please let me know! Cheesy
