1  Anna Corrinna City bag - My Version!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Jelly. on: October 19, 2006 10:39:10 PM
Haha, lame subject title, I'm sorry!
So I was just wasting time looking for things on the internet, and I found this bag that I loved. It's the Anna Corrinna City Tote
http://www.activeendeavors.com/product.asp?catid=3829&listtype=c&pfid=AED15518
But it was like US$400 dollars which works out to be like, $600 or $700 or $Way too much anyway, so I decided to make it.
But kinda different. Its not so glam, and its not made of leather.
But it is made of this rusty coloured cord, and this cool retro floral stuff, yay.
Sorry I think these pictures might be huge, I forgot to resize them.
But maybe photobucket worked its magic and resized them for me.
Anyway, this is the bag as a tote - I changed the handles cos those little tab things were way too annoying to do well, and it turned out better cos those handles actually fit over my shoulder if I want!

And then the bag as a shoulder bag - it still fits my visual diary and lunch and a cardigan and everything in!

And this is the lining, and it shows the colour of the cord best too.

Do you think people would buy these?

OOH Yay, I get to be the first person to post my goodies!
Jaye sent me a cute little cover for my Creative Zen Micro (his name is Pierre)made from blue felt that has red streaks in it, and some Boost bars (I got addicted to them when I was in Australia) and a Milo Bar - which we do actually have here but weirdly, they taste different, and of course, the Covers CD.

all the goodies...there was another Boost bar but I'd already eaten it...

The cover with Pierre in:

And the cover, showing Pierre!

The Tracklisting is as follows:
1. Like Someone in Love by Bjork, originally by Bud Powell
2. Message in a Bottle by John Mayer, originally by The Police
3. I Found a Reason by Cat Power, originally by Lou Reed
4. Are You Old Enough by Lazy Swans, originally by Dragon
5. Down About It by the Lemonheads, originally by Smudge
6. Temptation by Diana Krall, originally by Tom Waits
7. Time After Time by Matchbox 20, originally by Cindy Lauper (and is one of my all-time fave songs!)
8. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out by Speedster, originally by the Smiths
9. Truly by Something For Kate, originally by Hazel
10.Go Your Own Way by The Cranberries, originally by Fleetwood Mac
11.Smells like Teen Spirit by Tori Amos, originally by Nirvana

15.Hallelujah by Clare Bowditch, originally by Leonard Cohen
16.I cant get no (Satisfaction) by Cat Power, originally by the Rolling Stones (I have the Cat Power CD this is off! and I went and saw the Stones when they were here about a month ago)
17.Quicksand by End of Fashion, originally by David Bowie
18.Blackbird by the Doves, originally by The Beatles
19.Baby, Please Don't Go by AC/DC, originally by Big Joe Williams

I havn't listened to the CD the whole way through but what I've listened to is great and I wanna hear the rest! And theres lots of Aussie tracks on there too I think.
The great thing is, I didnt even put any of the same tracks on my CD!

I hope I havent ruined anyones surprise by posting the Tracklisting, I've just realised that Jaye is maybe doing the multiple send-outs...Let me know if you want it taken down.

4  My rainbow knitted mary-janes! in Knitting: Completed Projects by Jelly. on: May 16, 2006 01:24:43 AM
So I was cruising the crasfter boards, and I found this pattern-thing: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=12662.0 and since its just turning to winter here in New Zealand, and since I've just started knitting (the only other thing I've made is a scarf - I love it!) I decided I had to make them!
So I made one..and it was waaay too big for anyone in my house. Then I got bored of that wool anyway.
Then, I was out shopping for a mothers day present and I happened to come across this super fun wool, that I knew my friend Kerry would love.
So I made her a pair for her birthday...even though she lives on the sunshine coast of queensland, Australia and its probably not even oing to be cold enough for her to wear them! But I like them anyway.

I'm making myself some now!

5  Re: BAG CHALLENGE :2: SPRING BAG! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by Jelly. on: April 28, 2006 09:39:44 PM
I still have time to post, right?

I made this bag in the middle of summer (its coming into Autumn here now) to take to a music festival called The Big Day Out.
Thus, it is my big Day Out Bag.

The Front

The Back

Close-Up of fabrics and the zip pocket

It's made from Vintage Drill Fabric, I got about 8 metres for $4, and some batting that my Mum gave me, and the vintage dotty fabric that was $2 a metre, and a vintage long zip and another short zip for the front patch pocket, and the bottom of the straps is cut off another bag that was about to be thrown out.
The pocket on the front is appliqued on, and the back has a layer of batting for comfort, and the straps have three layers of batting.
It was really comfy to wear for the whole day aswell.

Are they just caramel and chocolate, excuse the stupidity...

Yep!  But delicious runny caramel....

 Grin

I just got really excited because we used to have this chocolate in New Zealand called Caramilk, and it was caramel FLAVOURED white chocolate, and then it just...dissapeared!
And what your caramilk is, is what we call Caramello!

I misssed out on this swap again!!
Which is probably a good thing because I just quit my job and have no money, hahaha! but I love looking at all the gallerys, and I"d so possibly be in for a round 5

9  Re: Collages...What have you done w/ em in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Jelly. on: February 21, 2006 10:26:33 PM
I made this one quite a long time ago.
I'm not sure what happened to the original.

And i did this one the other day.
I have like a visual diary that I like to make mood pages and collages for, I've done a couple others but I like this one the best by far.
(The hearts are actually kind of foamy and very iridescent)
