Soadchik spoiled me rotten with this amazing swap package!

We decided to go really cultural and draw on both of our backgrounds for this swap. She sent me the most coolest stuff! I'm a big fan of indian curry and my boyfriend can't get enough of spicy food.

Soadchik loaded me up on indian sweets, curry sauce, punjabi train mix (half done already!), hot sauce (too hot for my tongue, but my boyfriend's already staked it out), and some neat mixes.  The BEST is the awesome sea green sari she got me. I am so stunned. It's totally gorgeous.  She also included bindis, bangles and an indian cookbook.

From New Orleans and Mississippi, she included some grits (gonna try them on the weekend), some jambalaya mix and some blueberry cheesecake mix. She also threw in some magazines and local tourist pamphlets. Awesome!  Wink There's also some sweet potato marmalade (yum!) and cornbread mix!

Also check out the cool ceramic red magnet and green flower piece, plus the floral fabric.

It's an amazing spread. Thanks so much, girlie!!

Alright ladies, I've been a busy ungrateful wretch for not posting the pics on the bookbinding kit that eirle put together for me.  No excuses!  So without further ado, I'm going to satisfy everybody's hungering for pictures! I took gobs of pics because there was SUCH MUCH STUFF in this kit!   Shocked Here's the gush:

The kit came in two packages. The black box you can see at the back of the pic here held the bulk of the kit.
This is the AMAZING book that she bound for me. It's filled with detailed coloured picture instructions!!  Cheesy

Here it is opened!

Here is a shot of everything she sent. The second package held a roll of handmade japanese paper. I'm such a paper freak, so I was pretty excited to see this.  Eirle pretty much included every single thing I'd need for bookbinding. There's extra fabric, adhesive film (that is so cool), string, thread, beeswax holder, awl, needles, paper for making a sketchbook, hard canvas boards, a half-finished journal so that i can finish it myself (totally awesome), clamps, more japanese paper, rubber cement etc. and some candy treats for energy!  Grin

You honestly don't know how much I love LOOKING at all of this!!!!! I haven't had much free time lately so I'm DYING to use this kit!
Close up 1:

Close up 2 - I'm in love with that monkey paper:

eirle, thank you so much!  Everybody's going to stalk you now for this kit!!! I'm a very lucky girl. Thanks again for all your time and energy on this. It's just amazing.

I received an AMAZING totebag from meanbean. It's so well made and sturdy and just perfect. My mom didn't believe me when I said someone MADE it.

Thank you so much, meanbean! You totally made my day. I love the fabric you chose and the size is exactly what I wanted!  Cheesy

Here is my amazing swap package from Aeronberry!!!

The craft is this GREAT squishy pillow with the quote "Oh, but my Prince, If you can't be as sweet as you seem, I'd rather dream!"  It has a pocket at the back for my favorite scent and it's done in this gorgeous chocolate brown with blue accents.  Aeronberry, is that an iron-on? I have no clue how you did the quote on the fabric!

The CD cover is AWESOME and you can see the CD holder that she threw in as well. lucky spoiled me!  Cool  Aeronberry thoughtfully provided a crib notes sheet detailing why she choose the songs that she did and what she liked about the performance.  Thanks so much for organizing this swap!
