1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / in the spirit of cozies- my pda cozy! on: April 02, 2004 12:40:39 PM
I was inspired by the cozies posted here, and the single skein of Noro Silk Garden yarn I could afford, to make a cozy for my palm pilot treo. Here are pics- also my first real project without a pattern. I am pretty pleased with the results. The yarn is very soft and has intricate colors- hard to tell from the pictures! Next cozy is for my ipod- but I have to figure out a way to make one!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / first pair of mitten a success!! on: February 26, 2004 07:43:18 AM
I decided to make mittens using the magic loop method instead of double pointed needles. It took a bit to start them but once I got going they went pretty quickly. Of course, now it is just warm enough not to need to wear mittens!!

The yarn is really beautiful- hard to tell from the pics. It is flecked with all kinds of colors. Now that I've made one pair- I see tons of striped mitten presents being given to friends and family next holidays!!

3  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / working on "under the hoodie"! on: February 19, 2004 07:34:58 AM
I just bought yarn for making "under the hoodie"! I am changing the color scheme as I have been really into knitting with greens lately. So I got some Harrisville New England Shetland yarn. The main hood color is a forrest green, the color for the arms and the stripe is a olive/fern kind of green, and for the small accent stripe I got this funky yellowish green color. The colors look great together and started the first few rows today.

I am also working on getting my website up so hopefully I will be able to post pics of it when I finish it!

Has anyone made this yet? I would love to hear from you and see pics if you have!
