I think a little piece of the left side tore off (it was in the package) but I don't think it detracts at all from the overall look!
Is the medallion at the made of the molding paste as well, or is it a separate piece you added on?
I've been looking locally for that iron oxide paint, but no one has it. I'm going to have to breakdown and buy some online.
the medallion is metal, glued on and then painted over a bit.
could you get someone to order the paint in for you? my local art store orders stuff in for me all the time, though she had this in stock for the workshop this time. i love it cause i'm too broke to afford the sheets of mica!
parisgirl, i'm glad you like it! that's a layer of kroma cackle over gesso, then a wash of pthalo green and then a layer of the golden interference green. (the interference paints are also VERY cool! i'm really loving golden lately!) i'm glad the clay piece made it safe! that's an old clip on earring that i fell in love with! and yeah, loves2experiment is right, the paint-free side is the back!
and i'm glad you like yours too lunakitten! i love the wallpaper i used on that one, it's got great texture.
here's a clearer picture -
knickertwist, the ouija house is amazing! i love it!
playswithneedles, um, wow! i love how that house is pulled together, every detail is perfect for it! the repetition of shapes is very cool.
could you just stop being so amazing, even just for a little while? it's getting a little bit ridiculous!
i love the houses you've done for this round, but i love everything that you do, so that was expected!
lmcbride, such a cute house! i love how the accents pop, the 3D windows and such. very cool. i love how you did the look of shingles, i planned to do that this round, cause i love how it looks, but i got carried away!
karin, sooo beautiful! i love the colour scheme, even though i usually love brights, it's just so serene and lovely! i like the roof line, how it's got the gable (is that what that's called?), and the heart accents are so pretty. what's the round thing on the right hand side, next to the pudgy little bird?
