1241  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Having Problems with the Top o' Bags on: December 27, 2005 11:58:28 AM
Whenever I seem to make larger bags to carry things to school and work the top part of the bag sags down. What can I do to have my bags keep the same straight shape? Stiffer fabric? If my description doesnt make any sense Ill post some pictures of my bags as an example. Any tips would be appreciated.

Yah exactly. I dont have any pliers or anything so loops were naturally made when I formed the bracelet. I just used a smaller latchhook that I use for hair to thread it through.

I found a tin of matching buttons at the craft store the other day, came home, and fiddled around w/ them until I could figure out what it was. At first I thought maybe bag handles, or a choker, but as soon as I added the fur yarn I knew it was meant to be a bracelet. Anyways heres what I came up with...oh ya and its held together with blue wire.

1245  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Beaded Snowflake Glomitts on: December 15, 2005 09:57:30 AM
Im really an embroiderer at heart and only really started getting into beadwork when I purchased a book online entitled Embeadery.  Its an awesome book for both beaders and embroiderers.  This is one of the mandalas she shows how to make using a beaded feather stitch.  I used star sequins and white/clear beads to try to make it look like a snowflake. I dont know if you can tell from the picture but I also did some beading on the edge of the mitten part too. I know they arent identical, but no 2 snowflakes are *exactly* the same.

Those look pretty cool to me.  You should post a detailed shot of one of your favorites.
