I finished my first patch the other day and after I removed it from the hoop and gave it a rinse to remove the markings I realized it was kinda wrinkly I don't know if the fabric is too thin or if it actually shrank when I got it wet. I've never worked with the fabric before so I'm not sure. Its still great, I'm just a bit of a perfectionist. I think I'll put interfacing on the back on my next patch. What do you guys think?

Horay for a bunch of firsts! My first tammy, my first fair isle project, and the first thing I've made with my handspinning that had a finished result in mind. All of the yarn in this hat was spun and dyed by me except the black, which I used as a model. The fiber is a superwash merino and tencel blend if your curious. This pattern was designed using the Threads knitting around the world book and the Traditional Fair Isle Patterns reprint.

I've been busy the last few weeks, sanding,staining, and installing a jumbo flyer for my Ashford Traditional, and I absolutely adore it. Everyone at my spinning group was making fun of me because I finally get a jumbo flyer and the first thing I spin up is a lace weight yarn.  But I made loads of it, faux cashmere.

And the rest is a bunch of stuff I have dyed. I call it my Washington Apple series BFL mix and mohair dyed with a combo of acid dyes and food coloring. The green is much more neon in person, in fact it looks just like a granny smith apple!

Alright finals took the backburner for a little while in order to showcase the best stuffie ever Allow me to introduce Vittorio! Vittorio is an Italian rat who was accidently transported to NewYork. There he was eventually snuck into a fine resturaunt and was captured! The chef was going to kill poor Vittorio, but his ratty loving wife saved him and kept him as a beloved companion. The Chef's wife and little Vittorio watched many enjoyable hours of FoodNetwork together and his interest in the culinary arts began to grow. Eventually he escaped to the sewers where he creates amazing culinary concoctions for his friends. He decided he needed a bit of a break from the demanding life of being a celebrity rodent chef so he is teaching me the ropes for awhile.

First pic is classic cleaves style. Next time I would make the chest part at least twice this big.

And my favorite way! Unrolled bunched up in the middle. I knit a little band with a matching button to scrunch it.  Stupid pose is to show sleeves.

I finished my LadyEleanor and began working on my cleaves. Here is the first sleeve. I'm surprised but I actually really like the Jiffy yarn Im working with!

Witch-this was all done on a pair of circulars! Also if you don't like the look of the bell sleeves and want to stay true to the pattern somebody in the previous kal knit it flat. Stuff to think about

Alright here we go sorry about the wait. After my bf was done we went thrift shopping and when we got back he ate more pasta

This is the whole flung over the shoulder look. You can kinda see the hairstick in there.  Anybody had success getting it to stay up on your shoulder? Mine just doesn't want to cooperate, but it still looks nice.

Heres the hairband look. I put a brooch on it to see what it would look like.  Those stick pins are super cute, but my lady e is so thick it wouldn't do much of anything.

Alright here are some basic pics that show the color and pointy ends that I did.  Now tha I have it all stretched out it almost makes me want to block it...meh. I'll get pics later of me modeling it when I have someone to take pics of me.

And I have a question for you guys as well. I really wanted to wear my lady e like the pic modeled where she just has it tossed over her shoulder. Unortunately it doesn't work very well it kinda falls over. I'm sure if I had some sort of shawl pin or something it would help. *BUT* out of necessity I started to wear it where it drapes over my shoulders and I have the ends rubber banded together. I hope that makes sense, I'll post pics later. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some sort of fastening that would look a bit nicer than a hair band! Like a knit scrunchy, maybe a buttoned band, i-cord tie? I spend all this time and $ and I want it to look class-ay  

Ok as promised here are the pics! First up a fabulous handspun alpaca neckwarmer, which just so happened to match my outfit today.

And two skeins of blue faced leicaster wool *which is funny because thats the same stuff I used for one of her skeins* dyed with koolaid, plied with angelina fiber throughout, and navajo plied.

My hairy vase is drying. Heres a pic. I got the pattern from a knitting calender I got for Christmas.

I have the string tied around the neck to shape it while it dries, but I kinda like it Maybe it will stay.
