1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / baby alien??? on: February 14, 2006 04:04:41 AM
Ok, I'm not very good at sewing so I don't know how I can make this but... I just saw the movie Chicken little and fell in love with the little baby alien. Does anyone know how I could make it into a soft toy? I love soft things so it preferibly shoul have that kind of long fur it had in the movie...

I'm not too fond of Tiimari and Sinelli, their sortiment is not good. Hobby point is expensive, but they have a much greater variety of beads.  I've sometimes bought old necklaces in thrift stores and then used the pearls. That's really the best and most economic way, but it's hard to find good necklaces in thrift stores. must check out UFF
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: Wooden Bead Necklaces on: September 07, 2005 06:16:59 AM
I usually don't use clasps when I work with wooden beads. The idea with working with wooden beads is that it should look homemaid and hippieish, so I usually just use a piece of old string and then tie the ends together when I'm ready. I usually try to fade the colour from the beads so that they look older, especially if I'm doing budhist prayerband-style wood necklaces

wow, that's so cool. I've always just used glass marbles to decorate my room. Must definitly try to do one of those next. I just don't know if I can find empty bracelets (I don't live in the US) Cry
