I wondered this myself.  How in the world can they make these thing safe for babies to suck on?

Very cute!  I can't find my snap setter!  Found all the snaps I ordered but not the snap setter.  I think I'll have to break down and buy another one so I can make some cute bibs, too.

I bought the fabric in Central PA at a place called Surplus City.  I also bought that fabric in black and blue.  Haven't made anything from it yet, though.

You pretty much nailed it.  It's rectangles and rectangles.

Figure out how large you want the quilt to be.  Get some graph paper if you need precision.

The only thing you need to know from the quilting books or sites is how to join rectangles together.  Look at a log cabin quilt for how to join rectangles, for example.

hi! can someone please answer a question for me...

i am looking to buy a serger and i work with a variety of fabrics with different thicknesses. i especially love faux fur. does this mean i want a serger with differential feed? does anyone have a recommendation for a serger under $300 that works well with faux fur?

I have not tried anything but a very, very short pile fur in my serger (Janome--$299).  It worked, though.

I'll be interested to see if someone could answer your question, however, I think worthwhile sergers under $300 are pretty rare to begin with.

I wonder if you could use size 18 needles in the serger and have it work well for those thicker fabrics?

Found this fabric last week and had to have it.  Had to have some vinyl to go with it, too.  I also bought red and royal blue vinyl but haven't made it up yet.

I intend for this to be a diaper bag, but it wouldn't have to be.  It is HUGE.  The next ones won't be so large.  It has two elastic pockets on the inside and one plain pocket on the outside.  Two magnetic snaps close it.  The strap is adjustable so it could be worn messenger style.

I'm not usually conservative with pockets but this was my second time with vinyl and I didn't want to use up huge amounts of the pirate fabric in case it didn't work well.

I have a couple of lessons learned but overall, I'm happy.

OK, I'll claim the last one--the large print.  I have NO idea what I'll do with it, but I want it!
