21  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Doctor Who Rd. 8 (Signups Feb. 21 - Mar 8; Sendouts April 15) on: April 11, 2013 07:42:10 AM
I feel really behind on my crafts. I love what I've done so far but my crafting time this week turned to zero, as I'm at home with a sick kid during the day and off to work when DH comes home.
22  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Fabric Printing Swap on: April 08, 2013 04:08:25 AM
I'd be up for this. I do technical screenprinting at work but I prefer blockprinting (or stamping) fabric because I love the look of these prints.

If the bed is not a standard twin, wbucket did you use for the mattresses?  I live this idea and think you did a supercalifragilisti cexpialidocious job.  We live in a tiny apartment in Honolulu for most of the year and this would be an bacon solution to an issue I am facing at the moment Smiley

That's  why I used the Ikea dimensions. I bought the mattresses there, but I guess that won't be much help for you. I doubt there is an Ikea store near you. But maybe you could buy them online. It might even be possible to buy a simple foam mattress and cut it to size.

Thanks! It was the only option I had. My little one is climbing on everything he reaches. He even pulls out drawers to use as steps. It would be really annoying if they couldn't play in their own room without me watching them every second.

After finally finishing my sons' bunk beds I'm able to spend more time on crafting for the swap. I mostly finished my large item and hope to be able to send next weekend.

After a week of working on it every night and very little sleep I finished the bunk beds for my sons.

Because they share a long and narrow room I wanted something narrower than the standard twin bunk bed.

I took the basic measurements from this Ikea bed and build the whole thing from scratch:

Because 'A' said he preferred stairs I took the trofast shelves we already had and added rails:

I also added a gate because I don't want them to play on the top bunk and to keep my 18 mo climbing up there.

Hope you like it.

Well, I've planned all my projects and started on the medium, but I didn't have a lot of time the last two weeks. I hope to get most of it done after the weekend.

I got most of my supplies today and am ready to start crafting.

I've seen the stamps and hoped I would get a partner in the UK. Now it seems like I'm only sending there but receiving from the US.

I love it! The tardis must be the best motif for a travel wallet.
