11  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: How does everyone make their sites? on: August 12, 2006 05:17:59 PM
I've been an internet junkie for a few years, so I've picked up HTML through constant computer usage. It's quite sad, actually. I'm not as much of a hermit as I make myself out to be. Though for learning HTML and CSS I'd suggest tutorials on http://w3schools.com - they've got good ones that go step by step. And for more advanced tutorials, I like tutorialtastic.co.u k. You can use a WYSIWYG editor, as it does make things loads easier, though sometimes it gives you coding that's superfluous. The free template sites are a good idea, either if you're actually going to use it or just for inspiration. As always, books are great, too. I'd be happy to help if you need it.
12  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: New store open! Opinions please! on: August 12, 2006 05:08:07 PM
I think it looks good! It gives off a professional but fun vibe, and I like how there's not too much text on the main page - how you go straight to your products, so that your visitors have a taste of what your products are like. It seems pretty organized to me, too.
13  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Need help for my 16th on: August 12, 2006 04:58:26 PM
I just turned 16 on the 7th. For my party it was pretty simple. We had a fire pit going and food to cook over it. I pulled out the Twister mat and we had a blast trying to play with like 8 people at the same time. I also had an ice cream bar type thingy set up in my kitchen. It had ice cream and a bunch of toppings. We listened to music and everyone said that they had fun. Maybe this will haelp you, maybe not, but that's how my 16 went. And by the way...Happy birthday!

Yeah, I think that'd be a cool idea. I think the old fashioned, "food, music, games" thing would be nice for a party. Twister's a classic, and can't go wrong with ice cream. You could ask people to bring their own CDs for a variety of music. As for favors, candy, of course. I've seen people do movie-themed goody bags. Some popcorn, candy in a box, 5 dollar gift card to blockbuster - though that can get expensive. And I too wish you a happy birthday!
14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: flowers, butterflies and others on: August 12, 2006 04:48:29 PM
Great job on all of those pieces! I'd be a very happy kid if I got to wear those. I got the 90's fashion, haha. My favorite is the overalls - they look so professional. And the Eiffel Tower picture is amazing. I went there just a week ago and you captured it beautifully. Cute dress in that one, too!
15  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: painted shoes (image heavy) on: August 12, 2006 04:45:54 PM
Wow, those look great! I especially love the first pair, the yellow shoe. The design is so well done! Nice job!
16  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: My First Project (IMG HEAVY) on: August 12, 2006 07:25:01 AM
I think it looks great! I love the fabrics you used, they add a nice amount of color. It's so neat, too!
And I'm jealous of your TV. Sad My parents won't let me have one because they're convinced then I wouldn't leave my room.

Geebus, that's incredible. I love your room as a whole, too. Could you maybe post more pictures of it? That green color is intense.
I love the design, and the colors; I can't believe you freehanded that! What kind of paint did you use?

Kudos to me for being able to read the Jack shirt. And kudos to you because those shirts turned out so wonderfully!
19  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Greeting Cards on: August 08, 2006 06:56:15 PM
Those are great! I love the first two. Impressive that you made them all by scratch. And the wire-wording! I...don't  have enough patience for that, haha.
I also really like the message on the last card - witty!

Oh, wow! I thought it was for a toddler too, and then I read your blog. Impressive! So small and cute. Smiley
