2  Keyboard Cat! in Halloween Costumes by tape rocks my face on: October 29, 2009 08:36:20 PM
This didn't take too much crafting, but I think its pretty clever/ nerdy!

I thrifted the blue shirt from Goodwill, and made the ears and handpainted the keyboard (cardboard because I have NO money- <3 college).

3  CAN ANYONE ID THIS YARN!? in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by tape rocks my face on: December 17, 2007 08:45:16 PM
I bought this yarn at Walmart, of all places and it had a sleeve that said Red Heart Ltd. Cupid and it was on clearance. I looked it up because its softness was amazing for Red Heart but the pictures I came up with did not match my yarn.

Its a black yarn with another strand that progresses from gold to green to blue to purple.
Colors are almost true! Helppp, I want more!!

4  Easy, Cute and LESS THAN ONE HOUR Hat!! in Knitting: Completed Projects by tape rocks my face on: November 15, 2007 11:33:59 PM
This is my first hat to ever make so I'm very pleased with it!

Its just a smaller version of the popular slouchy beret!
Here is the site I orginally saw the pattern on:http://knittedbutterfly.co.uk/spin%20me%20right.pdf

And here is the much modified version to satistfy my love for fat yarn!

Lions Brand Thick and Quick yarn
17in/12mm circular needles

Cast on 35-45 sts (tiny head to big head!)

Row 1: *k1, p1* repeat to end
Row 2: Knit all sts

Begin pattern
Row 3: *k2tog, YO* repeat to end
Row 4: Knit all sts

Repeat until desired fullness, then begin decrease

Row 1: (k4tog, *YO, k2tog* repeat between stars 3 times, YO) repeat () to end
Row 2: Knit all sts
Row 3: (k4tog, *YO, k2tog* repeats between stars 2 times, YO) repeat () to end
Row 4: Knit all sts
Row 5: (k4tog, *YO, k2tog* repeats between stars 1 time, YO) repeat () to end
Row 6: Knit all sts
Row 7: *k4tog, YO* repeat to end
Row 8: Knit all sts

Pull yarn through final row and tighten, do not tie yarn off until the hat is stitched together.

I got this shirt from Urban Outfitters a few years ago and it just never really worked for me...

So this lovely evening I decided its time had come...

I am debating the addition of another strap but I kind of like the off balanced-ness of it.

sorry for the awkward colors and stuff! mac books could use a little perfecting when it comes to cameras. I cant believe i just said that...

6  It's a wrappppp! Bahaha in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tape rocks my face on: July 28, 2007 01:38:08 PM
Yay free college t-shirts!

It was just a normal adult small tshirt and I used a tutorial from livejournal (boo).

I did have a little trouble with the back and I have no idea how to fix it or how I could have prevented it. Any ideas?

I'm not the best seamstress and am still getting aquainted with my machine. I see potential though!!
