I don't usually comment on armwarmers/fingerless gloves because there are so many of them out there, but... so pretty! That yarn is positively gorgeous. Pardon me while I drool.

I'm going, and so is David of sweaterproject.org. Smiley
13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: The Doctor Who scarf on: September 19, 2006 07:46:05 AM
Everyone needs a Dr. Who scarf. You're smart to get some experience under your belt before you start a "real" project. Smiley

If you get frustrated, have a jellybaby.

(One of these years I'm going to make my favorite Doctor's knit item... the fifth Doctor's cricket vest.)
14  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Tunisian Crochet Purse on: August 28, 2006 04:17:31 PM
Tunisian crochet is like a cross between regular crochet and knitting. Instead of working one stitch at a time, you work one row at a time. You pick up all the stitches along the row, and then "finish" them on the way back. It's a lot easier to understand if you see it being done. I wouldn't say it's quicker than regular crochet... I can do the same square footage at about the same speed with both.

So pretty! I've been thinking about doing Rogue, because cardis aren't really my thing, but Eris is such a lovely pattern... great job!

As both a knitter and a chainmailler, I have to say... that looks so cool! Great work!
