11  Re: I made a wig for my doll- now with pink version! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by mummynat on: February 28, 2010 11:35:32 AM
I love making crochet cap wigs.
I have made one for my tiny obistu girl out of mohair and brushed it. I am defiantly going to try ironing, i have not done that yet.

12  looking for a pattern in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by mummynat on: January 23, 2010 01:38:16 PM
Back when i first started crocheting more than just rectangles, i made this

(looking well loved!!)

I am almost positive is was from a pattern here on craftster, but my book mark was on an old computer that has long died. I have tried doing craftster searches, but found nothing. Does anybody recognize the bear and it's pattern, and have a link to it?? My children now years on, what more of these.

Thank you, Nat

Now i have done with the Christmas gifts, i can finally have some time to join this thread.

This is a top i crocheted for Kaela. I made it up as i went along, but i should be able to make more and write a pattern easy enough.

Thank you peeps Smiley

She's adorable and her hairstyle is fantastic. Something about the way your noses come out is just the cutest thing!

As for my noses, the last two, i enlarged the nose slightly, and still added a small wooden bead in the end. Darcy ( my red poppet) has the original small nose and a wooden bead.

Also i tend to have the fabric grain lines travelling diagonal across the face, and down the nose ( alittle less so for my mini me poppet, i wanted a longer face.) this way the nose kinda stretches out. Smiley

I enjoy making the original one more, and for how i see poppets in my mind I like it better as a doll. I see them as kind of little fairy poppet people, a kind of little elf, thats the idea my mind has imparted on them all. lol  Cheesy . I only tend to like the 'boobie' poppet if i am recreating a human in poppet form.

This is Blossom, just finished and ready to be wrapped for her new mummy. More pictures will have to wait, batteries just ran out in my camera.

I finally made one  Cheesy
I remember ghilie's first one, and got the pattern about 2 years ago. lol.  Have always wanted to make one, but i have an ever growing WIP list, so kept putting it off afraid of making yet another WIP.
I didn't bother changing the thread in my sewing machine, as i thought this would just be a trial run. But, i LOVE her.

She came out far better than i expected, and was super duper easy. No WIP for me, done in a day.
Needless to say, i have more planned.

I have only made her the easy peasy dress, but i have more clothes planed too Smiley

We have named her Darcy
