1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knifty Knitter? on: November 11, 2005 09:08:59 PM
I just take the loops off the pegs and transfer them onto the knitting needles and bind off the "old fashioned way."  Grin

Yea, I'm making the gloves on the smallest one, the blue one. They're really simplistic though. It's just a tube with a few dropped stitches for a thumb hole. I figure that I will thread elastic through around the sides at the end if they turn out too baggy. It's really just an idea right now, I haven't finished them yet so I don't know how exactly they'll turn out. I've been pretty luck so far!  Grin

If anyone's interested here's a link to two of the things I've made so far with my kniffty knitter:

This is a recent bag I haven't put a strap on yet, I'm not sure if I like it!:

I love it, but it is seriously lacking in the project ideas area so I've had to learn to create my own project ideas. I've made two awesome purses with it and I'm starting fingerless gloves now. It's so much faster than if I were to knit normally. Grin

I work at Rag Shop and I found a new simplicity pattern in the pattern book that is for a "split skirt." The pattern is number 5062 and it seems like a decent guacho pant pattern.
