11  Corsages & Bouts! (Many pictures!) in Weddings and Bridal Showers by Haylie on: March 12, 2011 09:11:35 AM
Here are the corsages and bouts I made for my August 2010 wedding!  Our colors were teal and ivory.

I made "mini" and "supermini" coffee filter roses for the corsages. They're small versions of the ones I had in the bouquets.  The wrist corsages had wrapped ribbon "bracelets" (is there a name for that part of a wrist corsage?) They were surprisingly easy to make! Smiley

My mom's: (and me making sure it's just right!  Roll Eyes)

My gram's:

My other grandma's... hers is twisted - you can see how it ties at the bottom

My MIL's:

My husband's grandma's:

Boutonnieres!  I didn't want to use my pink-tinted coffee filter roses for the bouts, so instead I used beads that complimented/matched those I used for the bridesmaid necklaces.  My original plan for attaching the bouts was to attach flat backed pins to the back, but that didn't work... I'll never know how they managed to attach them on the day!

The groomsman bouts:

The best man (my husband's dad) had a similar one with two leaves.

The grandpa bouts:

I think my dad's was similar, but with fewer beads.  I can't find a good picture of it.

I'm especially proud of the "wrist bout" I made for our groomswoman.  It's almost a small version of the corsages, but with black ribbon and beads that matched the male bouts.  I don't have many good pictures, but I was in love with it!  Cheesy

And just for fun, me and my hubby!  As you can see, he didn't need a bout! (Although I was sewing that gold hatband two days before the wedding!  Tongue)

Thanks for looking! Smiley  If anyone is interested in knowing more about how I made the corsages/corsage band, I'd be happy to help!

I love the ribbon rose idea.  I made wrist corsages with wrapped ribbon... (My sister called these my "crafter hands" haha)

Mine was with coffee filter roses, but I'm sure it'd be lovely with ribbon roses!

I'd be happy to try to find the tutorial I used for the wrist part/ make a new tutorial, if you're interested!  I searched forever to find one I was happy with.

PS - I had a flowerless wedding too! Cheesy

13  Re: Love your wedding? Then show off your photos here! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by Haylie on: January 15, 2011 09:03:16 AM
Finally got around to posting pictures from my August 2010 wedding!  It was the PERFECT day and I was marrying the man who introduced me to craftster - what could be better?!

My coffee filter roses! I love them so much.  My mom made my veil and sewed a pearl strand around the entire edge.

My jewelry: my grandma & I made the necklace together. I included some pearls from my mom's wedding dress.

My grandma & I made the bridesmaids jewelry too (cant see it here, sadly!)  I made over 100 coffee filter roses for all the bouquets and my sister and I put the bouquets together. (She's the blond)

The cake had more of my roses!  I made some "minis" and "superminis" for the cake and corsages.  The scroll design mimicked the stamp I used on the invites and in frosting is the monogram I used on everything in our "wedding font"

Rings!  On my husband's saber. (We used it to cut the cake!)

It's now been 3 weeks and 1 day since our wedding!  It was the most incredibly perfect day.  Smiley   I'll share more pictures once we get more of the pro shots, but here are some now...

Cake!  With my coffee filter roses on top and my monogram design in icing on the front!  We had the cake professionally made, but she incorporated all my elements perfectly. The design around the bottom mimics the scroll design on our invites. (It has buttercream icing - doesn't it look as smooth as fondant?)

This picture shows the coffee filter rose bouquets I made for me and my bridesmaids!  I'm sure my photog got a better picture of them, but at least this one is better than anything I've uploaded so far!

Bridesmaid coffee filter rose bouquets!  Their dresses are actually teal, not blue.

Here's a half-way decent shot of the necklaces I made for the co-MOHs & bridesmaids.  The one in the center is my sister and Co-MOH.

And, just for fun, one of the professional pictures (by Amy Boeve Photography - I love her, she's fantastic!) of my husband and I. Smiley  I made my necklace and my mom and I made the veils.

Pictures of my invites!! Cheesy  I love them so much.  We actually cut and glued the fabric to the outside of each, as well as cutting and printing all the paper.  It was a lot of work, but I'm thrilled with the results. Smiley

You can't see it so well in the picture, but I'm especially proud of the RSVP - we typed up the names of the invited guests with check boxes next to them, so guests can just check off who's attending. We also had a box to check if no one could come. I love it because we haven't had anyone try to add someone who isn't invited and whoever knows what to do with the traditional M________ anyway? Cheesy

Here'a a picture of my aisle runner!  I bought the runner itself at Michaels, unrolled about 85 feet of it, traced and painted my design, and rolled it back up!  It was really easy... the hardest part was the rolling.

Here are some pictures of the finished bouquets... I still need to get better pictures:

All the coffee filter roses:

Tying the bouquet handles:

All six bridesmaid bouquets together!

My bouquet!  Mine has a heart charm, the girls each have little charms with their first initial.

18  Re: Loaded Charm Bracelet Rnd. 2 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Haylie on: May 13, 2010 10:36:08 PM
I took pictures too - I just forgot to post them!  Oops!  The bracelet is AMAZING - the pictures really don't do it justice!  The colors are perfect and the charms are so "me"!

Isn't it great?! She used the colors of my wedding (a little less blue than it looks in the picture) and charms that mean a lot to me... a solider to represent my fiance, books with an apple for my future career as an English teacher, and a wedding couple for the two of us!

She also included FANTASTIC extras... two sets of earrings (which I love - especially the ones with the roses!)

And beautiful hand-painted glasses with our monogram!

Thanks mandys08, I'm truly touched by how much thought and work you put into making this a wonderful swap package!  Kiss

Here are the fantastic things I got from DaisyTattoo!  I love it all so much, thanks! Grin  Sorry it took a few days for me to post pix!

She made me an AWESOME pin cushion/thread catcher!  It has wire that keeps it open.  This is fantastic, because usually my threads end up everyyywheree.

But that's not all!  I also got TWO beautiful nestlaces!  I've wanted one forever and now I have two!  I can't decide which of them is my favorite.

She also sent two York peppermint patties - a favorite of me and my fiance! (We're actually giving them out as wedding favors)  He immediately stole one. Tongue  Silly boy

Thanks again!! Grin

I made these shirts to ask my cousins & sister to be my maids of honor & bridesmaids!  I made a stencil from a plastic folder & used Tulip's new spray fabric paint.  They came out great & the girls were so excited!  I made a Bride shirt for myself too.

This is minus 1 Co-MOH & 1 Bridesmaid:

Here are the shirts all wrapped up & ready to give! They all say "Will you be my..."
